Nice spot with tasty sandwiches and good coffee. The service is a bit slow so make sure you are not in a rush. Outdoors tables is also a plus.
Hi, my entire order is a mess. It was delivered. I'm not sure why THIS store feels the need to send people's food with a stranger without sealing it? The coffee arrived spilled out and all over the other items. They threw the croissant in an open bag that is literally crumbled up. Also the granola bowl is not sealed.The entire order excepting the banana is going into the garbage. My croissant looked tampered with.Ridiculous!!! This store is the worse and I will NEVER order from them again!
I ordered online, the food wasn’t ready and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes past my expected pickup time to get the food. The staff are clueless and have no sense of urgency. When I finally got the food it was BLAND. I ordered a coconut curry chicken bowl, and specified that I wanted it spicy. It tasted like chicken with no seasoning, like literally not even salt. False advertising. The rice was mushy and disgusting. The only redeeming quality was the salad, but how do you mess up a salad? Terrible staff, bland food.
This place has great coffee and good sandwiches. The espresso is really dialed in and tasty. Definitely above average espresso bar for the neighborhood, in line with something like Hidden Grounds. They also have some sandwiches and a kitchen in the back, particularly liked the pork belly. If you’re looking for a cafe lunch or morning coffee, and don’t need a full service sit down kind of place, this is a good stop. I go frequently now that I’ve discovered it.
I got French Toast and egg whites It was very good the syrup was excellent. Nice little place to go to. Food kinda taste homemade. I would recommend. I also got a hot chocolate which was decent! My friend ordered a short stack of pancakes and they were good as well.
Last time I ordered out I noticed the cashier was working by himself and I helped to bus tables while he was busy waiting on the whole restaurant. I stayed for about half an hour until my food was ready. Today I went and placed a to go order that included a rice cake. When running errands I realized the rice cake wasn't included in my take out bag.I called them and they said that nothing was left behind from my order. I went back to Short Grain on my home and asked them if they could replace my rice cake. They were sold out. I requested a cookie instead. They passed it off to me without saying a word. No customer service formalities at all. Food is great. Compliments to the chefs but I won't be returning.
Great coffee's to go! Was passing through and it got a bit windy so decided to get a hot cuppa. Nice place inside and also has seating outside.
This is a lovely coffee/brunch place! I really like their green eggs with toast and latte!
Highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the latte. This has been favorite go to place lately. Good outdoor space to sit down during pandemic.
Delicious as always! One of my favorite brunch store in Downtown JC. I love their Egg and Spam. It’s definitely a must try. Eggs are cooked so well and ham was amazing. They also have other menus worthwhile exploring. The amount of food is moderate - healthy for you.
