Omg! The best catfish, home fries and scrambled eggs ever! I mean besides mine lol!! So fresh! So clean! Not over seasoned! No salt!! Omg!!! The catfish melted in my mouth! Fresh onions/peppers on the home fries! Lordty! Thank you Shawn!!!!!!! I highly recommend!!
My husband and I were visiting from Virginia and wanted some good food & we found it !!!Yes people here up North can cook good “soul food” the fried fish was delicious and my husband loved the rice and gravy, my favorite was the smothered pork chops,,,So kudos to “Shawn” and the extremely wonderful lady at the register,,When we return to NJ we will be backBob & Dawn
I ordered turkey wing with limas and cabbage it was horrible both the cabbage and the turkey wings was under cooked and not tender like they was supposed to be i never had crunchy cabbage also the corn bread. Was burned. I sorry some one talked me into going to shawns table. Thumbs down. I am going to stick with the other place.
Boy oh boy! A friend of my referred me to this hidden gem which it might not be hidden to y’all but new to me and my favorite place I drive 30mins just to get some of this amazing foood! I’m from the south and it’s hits like Gma’s damn near!! (Love you nana lol) He has amazing customer service which makes it a plus!!
I didn't feel much like cooking, so I went to Shawns, I had a taste for oxtails, with it I had rice & gravy, steamed cabbage, potato salad the dinner was edible at best, not my flavor.
ooohh where do I begin....smothered pork chops for breakfast, massive egg sandwich all fantastic. then for dinner fried catfish and (wait for it)...OXTAILS. fan-friggin-amazing..Had the oxtails with black-eyed peas and mac-n-cheese. everything tasted great. lovely little spot, great service and just the best down home chow i've had in.a long while. cant wait to go back and try some more....
I dont usually post negative reviews but this place was the worst i ever had. Nothing was good not even the lemonaid.
Shawn has delicious meals. I love the smothered pork chops. You get so much food that you can share it or save it. You will not be disappointed. The food is so good..
Delicious down home cooking. Love the salmon and all of the sides. Favorite from the menu.... THE MANGO COBBLER!! Absolutely delicious.
