When you walk into the place there's two lines one for cold sandwiches one for hot sandwiches I got in the line of the hot sandwiches they gave me a cold sandwich when I called and asked him about it they said that I will have to ask for hot sandwiches excuse me I thought the sign explains everything
My husband and I grew up in NY and moved about 21 years ago. We were excited about getting bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches in NY like when we were kids.This place is really beautiful brick old school NY. We ordered 3 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. $12 each!!!!!!!!! but ok, for a NY sandwich, maybe....DEFINITELY Not. There wasn't any bacon....I mean none. It was more like bacon bits and a truck load of eggs. Why so many eggs? There must have been 6 eggs in there, lots of cheese on top. Very large and sloppy. $42 later. Save your money. The lady behind the counter was extremely welcoming. Felt like NY.
Nice selection of Italian foods, a rare find in the neighborhood. A bit Pricier than my go to Italian grocery store in Little Italy NYC.
Spacious deli with hot trays and cold subs wide selection of drinks non alcoholic type.I woofed down the cheese steak sandwich.followed up with a Root Beer soda.!
Use to eat there when i worked in the area for Verizon, retired 10 years ago , excellant heroes with perfect crusty Italian bread , not this time , bread was soggy , red peppers soggy , the whole sandwhich was soggy , would go back again to try an entree , but not a hero sandwhich
The absolute best place for an awesome tasting lunch! The owner and staff are top notch and friendly. Stop on by and I bet you will meet somebody you know.
The chicken bruschetta, with sides of potatoes and green beans, was one of the most delicious meals Iv had in awhile. The food is authentic and high quality, with a great menu that changes daily. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back often.

I really thought there were going to have more Italian product to buy.However they serve a daily menu with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy. Another counter with different cuts of cheese and meats with a different menu of mostly sandwiches that are apparently very good.I will rave about their fresh mozzarella and broccoli rabe. Good place for lunch in Jersey City area.
Love all the food here. I have also had food catered from here, EXCELLENT! My guest loved the food. Can't go wrong here when catering or stopping in for lunch.
