We stopped by here on an impulse and I’m glad we did. We were hoping they did pizza by the slice and were able to see a discrete side entrance that advertised pizza just as we wanted. We walked into a roaring hot brick oven that the pizza was just thrown into. It felt like a little VIP entrance right into a kitchen. We ordered two slices of margherita pizza and two diet cokes. The slices came out huge and were delicious. We ate them on the patio on the beautiful tree lined street. 10 out of 10 slice experience.
Local resident who has ordered from here many times… always want to give them a chance but time and time again they disappoint. Don’t even bother trying to call the restaurant, because it’s literally ALWAYS BUSY and you will never get through. Second time in a row that it’s taken over 2.5 hours to get to our house which is literally 1 mile away - oh and after waiting almost 3 hours, the order is completely wrong.
We’ve lived nearby for two years and this has been our go-to pizza place. Always delicious and always great service! Dining inside is cozy, and BYOB. Our favorite pizzas were the Tammy and theKathy, but anything you get is great. We will forever miss Rustique!
I would love to give it 5 stars because the pizza (while expensive) is good, it’s the service issues that bring it down. Ordered online and was given an hour quote, arrived early which was great but it was ice cold. Not sure if it had been made prior or what, but no way it should have arrived that cold with under a mile delivery distance.
Our side-appetizer was fried artichokes comes on a generous bed of spring mix, topped with shredded parmesan, and a creamy lemon dressing. I recommend it. The Sicilian pizza dough was high, and spongy but not as light as a focaccia. It's an easy bread to eat.
The place was great! I ordered some pizza to go and I took him back with me to Phoenix. Fantastic authentic the New York Jersey pizza
Only order here if you are willing to wait two plus hours for a pizza delivery…
We ordered the large red and white pizza for delivery. It was delicious! It arrived hot and in a half hour. We expected it would be at least 45 minutes. We will keep this in mind for future orders when staying at this hotel.
Sooooo disappointed. Rustique has been my go-to in Jersey City, but after my last experience, I’ll never go back. I waited an hour and a half outside the restaurant after being told our meal only needed “a few more minutes.” An employee came outside to ask what we were waiting on 30 minutes after the cashier told us it would be just a little longer. After another 30 minutes, I checked back in and the employees had very clearly forgotten to make our meal because they had no idea what order I was talking about. I didn’t even get a coupon or “sorry about the wait” in exchange for the hassle. After all that, the pizza was burned and the wings were overcooked. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.
Hands down my favorite pizza in JC. Always perfectly cooked and on time. Love the staff over there too. Our go-to is the Kathy with pepperoni or a Mike.
