Nice, cozy place with great ambiance! It brought back childhood memories growing up in Little Habana ❤️. I like that it has a wheelchair ramp so that I can have a nice meal with my mom. We had the breakfast # 2, # 4 and the bistec de palomilla. Good food with big portions and even better prices. You will be full! We took home some food! We went on Sunday mid-morning and it was packed, and service was a little slow. In the end it was worth the wait because I spend some quality time with mom reminiscing on childhood memories ❤️.
Wow best breakfast I've had in jersey city. Quick and amazing customer service. As a Dominican, the Mangu here is amazing, make sure you get the tres golpes. Comes with so much food for just $7.95.Bread, cheese, salami, eggs, onions, hot chocolate and orange juice. Thank you to Lenien Garcia, great guy who treats clients well.Excellente Calida
This place use to my place to eat. Especially their Churrasco! In this visit 2022 I swore it was under new management. It was a "sugar hill" moment. Cause my meat tasted like wood! Chimichuri couldn't cover up that taste. I believe still believe they can regain their title someday. ✌️
I used to love this place, the food, prices and service. But now everything changed. The prices are good compared to other places. The food is not the same and the service horrible. I waited 30 min for my breakfast and they changed my plate 3 times. The waiter keep bringing the wrong food.
Neraida was so great! Her English is also progressing so nicely!!! Food is so good!!!! Quick, tasty & affectionately priced. They treat u like family here. Plus that coffee "Dos Café" with boiled milk is super good. Love it here.
I really want to give it 5 stars but for take out, it was missing some items. the salad was missing salad dressing. The streak was missing a topping. It was my friends dish. My ground beef was good but it gavee acid reflux all day. I think it had too much oil in it. But I liked their pulled pork from a previous take out order.
A cozy slice of Hispanic Caribbean food and ambiance. Great cuisine for breakfast lunch and dinner. Friendly staff and reasonable prices good for frequent visits. The place fills up fast so plan accordingly for peak meal times.
Great Cuban diner that is busy most days with lively music playing in the background. They serve a delicious selection of Cuban standards, with The #3 Breakfast being my favorite! There are daily specials with substantial portion sizes and reasonable prices. Try the fresh squeezed orange juice and strong Cuban coffee as well as the fresh baked goods in the glass case that catch your eye upon entering. There is table seating as well as counter stools. Entrance is handicap accessible. There is a small parking lot behind the diner and street parking can be a challenge.
This place is horrible if I could give it no stars I would the Employees fee like there hot Shots or Stars of some kind and don’t pay attention At all to Customers entering trying to order something as simple as An Empanada that’s ready to go Staff is rude This is the last time I would come here good cooks Bad Customer service The worst i have experienced
Some friends of mine live near Rumba’s in Jersey City. I was at their place and they already eaten. I asked them if they recommended any spots in the area to get something quick, not too heavy. They both recommended Rumba’s! They said they go there all the time, and almost never fails! So I walked a couple blocks down to Rumba’s to see what they were about. It’s a Cuban restaurant with lots of culture and energy. Just the decor was enough for me to wanna order something. They have this red counter top with stools. It’s very 60’s-esque. I dug it! The staff are mostly Spanish speaking, sweet, charismatic women. One of them took my order, which was simply two chicken empanadas, as well as an irresistible slice of their chocolate cake. The chicken empanadas weren’t as moist as I would’ve preferred, but still delicious and incredibly flavorful! It had a pretty, crispy, salted crust that complimented the chicken well! I was very impressed with the flavor of the chicken, and wish I had ordered more! I mean, I will for sure the next time in the neighborhood, amongst some other menu items! Now, as for this chocolate cake. Girl, this chocolate cake. Whether or not it’s made in-house, I’m not sure, but girl, this chocolate cake. That thick icing/mousse was giving very much chocolate pudding (but richer) decadence! The edge of the cake had these crumbly Oreo-like bits that just added to satisfaction. The cake itself was moist and luscious! Even if it isn’t made in-house, wherever they outsource from, GETS IT!I’m so glad my friends live near this place! I have another reason to visit :-)
