I ordered delivery from this place. Food was great but the delivery wasn't. He called first to inform that he was here. I told him I am coming, but he won't stop calling until I reached. The total was $16, I didn't have change so I gave him a $20 bill. He didn't have any decency to give back the change so that I can tip him on my own, rather he took the money and left. I am not suggesting do not tip, but it has to be decided by customers. Tips are optional not mandatory.
Garlic knots where a 9.8 out of 10. Only shortfall was preference. It came with sauce but thinner sauce. It was great in it's own right but I just prefer the plump tomato thinker sauce. However, it was soft, fresh and came with extra minced baked garlic you can put on with every bite. I had 2 slices, the works and the margarita special (aka basil and tomato pieces). The works = crust was soft but not soft enough where the pizza wouldn't hold or flop down. The works stood up to other the works pizza places but did not exceed other, hence 9.5 of 10. Now the margarita special was mind-blowingly great! Bottom crust was slightly firm but soft, with the hint of basil in every bit and tomato's, however they made it was perfect, my guess was it sat on the pizza for a bit and heated well but still had a fresh taste 10 of 10! Now overall it made my rare 10 of 10 rating because for taste, vibe (hipster'ish feel), and value! My friend bought 2 special slices, 5 large garlic knots w/marinara sauce and a can of soda, all for just under $12. Mind Blown!
The food is good, no complaints. Only suggestion is not to be so frugal on the delicioua sauce that is on the pizza. The price point is reasonable and the service is efficient. Even though I am picky with pizza ?, I'll return to try other items on the menu. In the future I'll ask for extra sauce and extra cheese.
I ordered a simple dish of spaghetti bolognese. It was phenomenal. I don't understand why, but every pizzeria or Italian restaurant screws up the simplest pasta orders. Not Renato's! They absolutely nailed it. It was cooked right and the sauce was excellent. Also it wasn't drowning in water either. Thank you very much, I was super impressed. I can't wait to go back and try all of the pasts dishes. Obviously some of the best pizza in Hudson Co as well. Thanks again. Ciao for now.
Nice Pizza.Good neighborhood pizza around.I wish they had my order well done , which I told them over the phone. But no complaints. I love thier sauce , crust. My all time favorite is margaritas.Hope you enjoy as well.
The food is always good and always fresh
Again, allow me to be honest and sincere as much as I can. I went there with my son to enjoy a afternoon together having a couple of slices. My slice, in my first byte, was very salty but better as I kept biting into that juicy slice. My daughter a few days ago gave me a piece of a slice that really tasted very delicious. Maybe I bought the wrong slice. It was different from the one my daughter shared with me. I need to go back and find out which slice my daughter got. Cuz let me tell you, whatever slice that was she gave me, was extremely delicious.
My family gave me a retirement party here in jersey city on Sunday 2/6. The food and service was excellent. They catered to everything you asked. Loved it all.highly recommend.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. I live within walking distance to 3 pizzerias (Downtown JC) and I make the 15 minute drive each way to only get my pizza and Italian food from here. Owners are the kindest, most wonderful people. Restaurant is impeccably clean and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Best pizza in all of Jersey City and Bayonne, nobody comes close.
Great long-running neighborhood pizzeria... quality pie. Don't sleep on the classic full Italian restaurant in the back.
