Sandwich was decent I got a custom made one but the bread was slightly stale which made chewing a whole effort but maybe because it was end of day. The pistachio cream was amazing though I would highly recommend that on a sandwich. I don’t think it’s worth the price for the sandwiches.

Good people, amazing food and chill vibes.Croissant must have, Focaccina with Nutella is a must try! Plenty of hot/cold drink options too.

Love this place. You can’t go wrong with anything you get here - the sandwiches, cookies, coffee.

Just go and enjoy it! hight quality food, great service, amazing Italian flavor! It took me back to a bakery in Florence - The girl - super nice ! suggested some delicious sweet and cappuccino with my sandwich. Thanks !

Prato is my go to coffee spot now after stumbling upon it last month. Love their coffees and great service. Haven’t tried their food yet so that’s next on the list. Cute coffee shop vibes too

What a gem of a Italian bakery!!! I stumbled upon this NEIGHBORHOOD Italian coffee shop. If you like coffee, and I am NOT talking about Starbucks. Then you would love this place. The expresso shots are strong. I had the Nutella Latte. I am NOT a fan of chocolate drinks. But this place has me thinking different.

During a 2-mile morning walk through the historical downtown of Jersey City, New Jersey, I stopped at a local Italian bakery and had Americano coffee and Italian biscuits (almond biscotti & apricot biscotti). There were a great variety of food delights from focaccia and pizzas with great toppings, focaccia sandwiches and pan brioche sandwiches, cantucci (almond, apricot, fig, chocolate, prune). I must come back to try the other delights. With the coffee & biscuits, it was a TASTE OF TUSCANY … at Prato Bakery, Jersey City

Always tasty pastries, coffee and flatbreads from Prato, along with excellent customer service. The owner, as well as the gentlemen usually behind the counter have always been cheerful, welcoming and provided fast and great customer service. I made the mistake today of trying a newly opened place across the street from them, and the service was so bad and sole employee so rude, I walked right out and went running back to Prato. Both the coffee and pastry I got were delicious and customer service was right on point as usual. Lesson learned. I will only be going to Prato for my caffeine needs when in that area!

First I should say that Italian isn’t usually my first choice of cuisine, but my wife loves it.But Prato was really impressive! I tried a deceptively small sandwich and a slice of pizza: the sandwich bread was way more filling than expected for me which I suppose is good for most people but not if you have trouble building muscle like me.While we ate, their staff also gave us pieces of one of their chocolate breads (can’t recall the name!!) to try. The staff and bread are both very nice.Note that they are open for indoor dining as of this review - you guys know, we can never be too sure these days so when in a doubt give them a call.

One of my fave bakeries in Jersey City. I have never been disappointed with their food. The first time I was there, I got the ham and cheese on croissant and it was the best I have ever made. It was fresh and well made. It has become my to go to location for pastry items or quick to go sandwiches.
