As a wedding photographer / filmmaker I LOVE shooting at Porta in Jersey City. Its a beautiful wedding venue, with unique backdrops, delicious food and great staff. I love how close it is to the skyline & liberty state park for photos and downtown JC for urban shots and murals. If you're thinking about booking your wedding here, stop thinking and DO IT!!!
Don’t miss the homemade ricotta cheese app! Meatball pizza confirmed that Porta does both crust & meatballs extremely well! Delicious “Three Trees” salad, large serves 3-4 as a side dish.
Amazing pizza!! The drinks were alright but we got the arugula pizza and it really hit the spot in terms of flavor, freshness, and overall taste. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving a delicious summer pizza with a cold drink.
Awesome store front on a hipster city street. Atmosphere fits the vibe of the area…rustic, hipster, sheik. Went for lunch at 12:15 pm shortly after they opened, several empty tables clearly visible to everyone in our party of 4, website says walk ins welcomed when available. The waitress offered several suggestions on pizza selection and pairings for appetizers. Pizza selections were amazing, went with traditionalmargarita and a little wild with the devils haircut, both on point along with a paired appetizer of meatballs. Overall great spot and cool neighborhood, would recommend, thought the price point was good as well, definitely a Brooklyn NYC vibe without the expensive tolls coming in from the Jersey side.
Always great for pizza, pasta, and refreshing cocktails!! Went for an early dinner at 4:00pm and they were already plenty of people seated. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed, but that's okay since it was a bit too hot to be outside. Cooled down with the Purple Rain cocktail was was nice and refreshing!
Set up for another gorgeous rooftop wedding. Love whenever I get to work here with my floral design clients. Def reach out to the events staff about hosting your next event here!
On Memorial Day we had dinner at Porta in early evening with our family. We just walked in to see if there was a table available. The food is decent and the restaurant is looking very well. The staff did their best to give their guest a best experience.
A fun vibrant place in the heart of JC for a date night, dinner with friends or co-workers.The staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Ordered the meatballs and they were delicious. Can’t wait to go back and try out their pizzas.
Delicious food and drinks and a fun spot to hang out at . ?? 2 thumbs up ??
Rip off. Do not book an event at Porta as their supposed $2k minimum because we didn’t have the minimum amount of people for a room starts out as that and then they try to tell you it’s $3K and after the say that was a mistake and you have your event and go to pay, you verify it’s $2k as agreed, you get a $300 room fee plus gratuity added and it turns out to be $2.6k. A really stupid to do since we are the biggest firm in the area and will now NOT do business with them again in the future. Savanna can’t add and is underhanded in her dealings.
