I’ve been a few times. They serve vegan junk food. The empanadas will not disappoint you. They also have buffet style food during the week during lunch time. I gave them 3 stars because their service actually sucks! It’s never welcoming, it’s more like why are you here?! Hopefully they will work on that. I don’t visit as much because of the poor service!
Definitely delicious but I felt it was just a tad expensive for the portion size with the buffet items. But regardless it was delicious vegan food and the Mac and cheese was awesome which is not always the case with vegan places.
Amazing empanadas!! Hard to choose my favorite. As I got delivery, they get pretty yummy if you warm them up at the oven.
I only know of two people who could cook delicious vegan food. However, noticed this place on my way home one night and thought I would stop by sometime. Well decided to do it today literally left 20 minutes. I have to say……This food is delicious!! Omg. It has flavor, spice and a kick. Called my two vegan friends and told them when I come and visit, I will definitely be bringing some. They got my doing my little dancey dance!!
I live North Carolina and went to visit my friend who lives in Jersey some months ago. He bought some empanadas for us and macaroni & cheese. Well I decided to place an order all the way from NC for Christmas. I ordered 24 empanadas they were fresh and delicious. He went to pick them up a day before since I wasn't going to make it in time to get them. Can't wait to stop by in two more weeks and try other things. Mind you I'm not vegan, but their food is delicious.
Wow wow wow, I’ve been cooking vegan food for over a year now and nobody else’s food has made me happy outside of my own until now. The food is AMAZING. I actually had to look a few times because it felt like I was eating actual meat again
Never had Vegan food before. I saw this restaurant advertised and decided to see what all the hype is about . OMG! SO GLAD I DID!!! The food is AMAZING!!! I would definitely be going back for more. Prices are reasonable and staff is super sweet and helpful. Actually took food and desserts home. Does not disappoint. Can't wait to go back and become a regular customer.
I really didn’t like my food. I love chickpeas but they was watered down and some more seasoning / coconut milk would’ve been better.
Drove from CT and been meaning to check out this restaurant, so glad I did. The food was amazing and seasoned to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone whether you're vegan or not. Place is fantastic.
So this was my first time ordering from poor man vegan..I figured I would try the food and if I liked it would start picking up food from there or even empanadas for events. Online it said it closes at 6 pm, I arrived at 5:37 and the doors were already closed. I knocked on the door and when no one answered I called. A woman came out and said that someone had already picked up the order and then she said that she didn’t even see the order and that they had no food left only desserts. I told her I was disappointed because I drove from far to get there. She then proceeded to tell me that she couldn’t do anything. So I bought a brownie and she didn’t even try to give me a small discount for the inconvenience or anything. A kind gesture would have helped alleviate the situation. Super disappointed..
