When the chicken is fresh it's some of the best tasting chicken in jersey city, but the problem is that they often make so much chicken that you end up with one or two stale pieces, other than that, everything is decent, but chicken is definitely their highlight

Asked for beef and got chicken. Food was with sauce on side and white Sauce on side no white sauce, hot sauce all over my food. Not happy.

Sorry, this is not what the new york style gyros tastes. The sauce is way below avg, less flavorful and less tasty. One can imagine if no smell of gyros, sauce, cooking near the truck even if standing for more than 10mins then it's not right. Had the rice platter, Chicken was full colorful but tasteless. Even the rice wasn't that flavorful.

This is the first Mobile Halal Food Cart in Jersey City, maybe New Jersey as well. This is my real honest review about this place. I have been coming to this place for so many years, approx. 7-8, before it was a truck and just a small cart at this location front of the church. It has moved around back and forth to different locations in Jersey City. The price is $7 for chicken/lamb over rice and comes with a free drink. It used to be $6 and $7 for combo, but it is $8 now. The chicken is well cooked and seems as if it was marinated properly. It is very tender. The lamb is also cooked well and isn't raw or burnt. You can ask for well done. The food is absolutely clean and fresh, never had any problems. The basmati rice is well cooked and tastes amazing. It comes with salad on side, lettuce, tomatoes, and you have to ask for onions or cucumbers maybe. It is topped with white sauce which is not heavy like other white sauce you get at some other trucks. It is very light and tasty. The hot sauce is just right as it is spicy but not spicy enough to get heart burning or stomach problems. This food absolutely clean so I'm not sure why the negative reviews from others. When you order on Uber Eats it is expensive because Uber takes there own fees, not the restaurant. The best thing is to get the food from the location there as the food is hot. I have never tried the falafel, but the chicken nuggets are great. I prefer this place better than Halal guys in NYC, but that is why it is called "New York Style Chicken and Gyro" it is very similar but better in my opinion. All the Halal trucks you see in Jersey City, well this is the first original Halal Truck and the owner sold it to others.

Honest review , this place is disgusting really messed up my stomach, had me in the hospital !! I do not recommend I ordered for my friends and it had them all sick!

not only the truck is disgusting that you people use religion to make money and I'm sick of it you order something from Uber Eats I can't even get the order correctly then rise the price for small amounts of food for what?? lousy service no thank you!!!!

Taste totally different from what I usually have in Manhattan. Price even higher than Manhattan for less food amount. Didn’t follow the sauce instructions. Do NOT recommend

Replying back from your message I got from Uber Eats:No, 1 star is not too much for missing sauce. Pay more attention to your orders.

I order here from UberEats embarrassingly frequently, and I swear to god some magic must go on in the kitchen because the food GETS TO YOU SO QUICKLY AND IS DELICIOUS. My go-to place for halal food for around a year. I swear to god the delivery people must be speeding. The quantity of food is great too - I get the chicken and lamb with rice (and included choice soda), and they pack the container to the top. They include some fresh vegetables on the side too (cucumbers and lettuce). I can usually eat one order for two days, and it tastes great the next day too. I ordered here on a whim but am so glad I did - y’all have a loyal customer!

This place is horrible. I have been coming here for a year. I have NEVER had a problem about ordering my gyros with no onions, now, I order my gyro they tell me they wont put onions on my gyro and what do I find? Onions! I come again two months later thinking... maybe it was an accident, but no they tell me that because of the time, they cant give me a gyro with no onions. Mind you, it is only 9 clock. I will NEVER come back to this place AGAIN. How is it that I have been ordering no onions for a year and now, they cant give me a gyro with no onions smh
