Limited Jain Options and longer wait time to get the order on the table.Went to their Jersey City location, though it wasn’t crowded, it took them over 30 mins to prepare Raj Kachori Chat.Taste was average, and I felt the ingredients inside the Kachori wasn’t mixed well with the Dahi.Wasn’t worth the money they charged for the Kachori Chat.
Person running the restaurant disrespectful of Indians and a big fat liar. I had the worst customer service experience that I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered food at 8:50 pm on Sunday, 5/15, over the phone for pick up, which I have done several times in the past. They accepted my order and within 15 mins at 9:05 pm, I received another call asking for payment info. and also demanding that if I won't be there in 3 mins then I won't be served my order as the restaurant closes at 9:15 pm. Even after assuring the man several times that I will be there by 9:20 pm and also offering to share my credit card details, the man kept repeating that they would close at 9:15 pm and won't serve me my order. On asking him why the closing time for the restaurant says 9:30 pm on their website and why was I not informed about updated closing time while placing the order, the man replies, "You think this is India? I'm not going to take this. This is America!". Was he thinking that he could disrespect me and get away with crappy customer service just because I am an Indian? I think this only shows how little he thinks of his Indian patrons. His words not only spewed lies after lies but were rude and disrespectful. Passed by the restaurant at 9:26 pm, filled with customers dining in, 11 mins after the claimed closing time. Shame on you mister! I don't know who in their right mind put you in-charge!
Been here for Lunch during my visit to Jersey City. Enjoyed their food and ambience. Tasted hot Gulab Jamoons, Choley Bhaturey of two numbers soft and big ones. Couldn't do justification to finish it, although it was puffy, hot, soft with tasty side dish. Their thali lunch was also tried by us. Both quantity and quality wise it was yummy. Love to visit again.
Pretty good veggie restaurants in and around indian street. Our favorite weekend spot for having snacks dinner. Kids enjoys a lot. Recently we had paneer paratha was really awesome. Sweet are really good. For a budget serving prefer thalis around $14.99 u get a excellent meals.
Had lunch at Mithaas. Absolutely loved it. Service was quick and food was tasty. Tried Chana bhatura, Raj kachori, Mithaas Thali and Bread pakora. Loved all the items. It’s next to a parking lot(paid) which makes it more convenient. Gonna visit again ??
Jersey City is famous for Indian food. I have visited Mithaas in Edison many time. This is the first time I have had Indian cuisine in Jersey Mithaas restaurant.I had samosa , Amritsari thali , Chole bhature and butter milk. All are tasty and the restaurant have good space. Service is good and on time. They have many sweets like I do have in Edison. They do have gujrati and mithaas special thali, many Indian snacks and drinks . This is a pure vegetarian restaurant.
What else you want, when you are waiting for winters to enjoy northindian Cuisine and dishes, One of my favorite makki roti saag was really amazing. The service is really fast and good as compared to other dine-in I have enjoyed.Manager is polite and entertaining.
If you like to eat raw maida thn please order Chole Bhautre from Mithas. This was the worst chole bhature I have ever had. Earlier I loved to eat Chole Bhature from Mithaas but now the quality is super bad. I can guarantee you in Jersey City they had the worst one. Also I ordered Ghobi Manchurian, which was also not worth it to spend $12 for 6 chopped florets only which i feel very less for the price they charged. Taste is ok types not super special to order it. Samoas size was big but quality was again pathetic. It looks like they re-fried multiple times the same samosas. Its outer layer is very thick and hard to eat. They have increased the prices but now quality is super bad and quantity is also very less. Extremely disappointed with their quality and quantity.
The service was nice. Food came fast and warm. Delicious food! I am definitely coming back. The picture is only one of four dishes we ordered.
Came here to try indian food. I ordered mithaas special thali. It was gooood i live in jersey city this one is the best indian dish i tried so far. Price is very affordable and dish was huge. Definitely coming back with friends
