I was in Jersey City and was craving Chinese food. Kay's Spring Garden had decent reviews, so I figured I'd give it a try. I actually ordered online to pick up, which was a smooth process. I arrived and the staff were super friendly. I ordered the general tso's shrimp combination platter, which comes with rice and an egg roll. The shrimp was tasty and done well. It was only about $9 for the platter, so you don't get a ton of food, but it was a good portion for the price. The egg roll was a bit over fried, so was a bit harder than I prefer. Overall, it was a decent experience, with decent food, at a decent price!
We were very pleased with our take out! Definitely will make this spot our regular go to for Chinese in the neighborhood. Staff are friendly and our takeout order was available right on time.
Best General Tso's chicken! ?
So far I have been going to this place for over 25 years and this is with out a doubt the best Chinese food in a 30 mile zone. The only thing I don't like is the Beef & Broccoli, the beef is very rubbery, but the Egg Rolls, Dumplings, house special Fried Rice, Chicken Wings, Lo mein, chow mein, Spare Ribs ect. Yummy, yum, yum ? ?....
Use to always come here and they were always decent. Now they over charge for everything not worth it. I order just chicken wings and they wanted 6.95 I asked can you add ketchup please the lady said it will be extra dollar excuse me that’s a rip off. I didn’t even order fries. They will never get my money again.
the lady there is very nice, and once gave me extra food. It felt like she was genuinely trying to build a connection between the customer and the establishment which isn’t something you really see these days.The food itself was one of the better Chinese restaurants I have been to recently and would definitely recommend the orange chicken!

They forgot my order and then told me it was my fault and then tried to tell me that I had to be charged again this is absolutely a joke on top of everything else all they have is snarky comments in a foreign language which is absolutely degrading when you're just trying to order dinner

Great, but very cheap on providing condiments such as duck sauce and soysauce. Don't discriminate. Some of like as is, some love it saucy #SauceLover
