Delicious falafel sandwich well worth it's price. The lamb sandwich seems a bit expensive. Friendly service.

came here on a lazy sunday afternoon with my BF. he spoke highly about the shawafel (shawarma + falafel) and i had to get to the bottom of this lol. we both got the shawafel with lamb, side of stuffed grape leaves, and some extra hot sauce. ordering was easy and we got our food in 5 minutes tops.now, the food.falafel was soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. lamb shawarma was tasty and had the right amount of fat to keep it juicy and tender. for someone who doesn't really love lamb because of its gaminess, it wasn't too gamey to me. veggies (tomato, lettuce, onion) were fresh and crisp. and the pita did a good job holding everything together!this is also my first time trying stuffed grape leaves, it tasted fine to me but i'm just not a fan of briney things. the bf loved it tho.oh, and the hot sauce? it was HOT.portion-wise, we felt it was really good for the price and it's a quick, healthy alternative to fast food. service was pretty good too, this is coming from both of us who have worked in hospitality lol. this will be in our JC rotation for sure.

Lamb Shawarma was out of this world. Sauces and sides were top notch. Falafel was made perfectly in the syrian style. Would have been 5 stars but they use mass produced pita.

Just realized i never reviewed this institution. It’s an amazing place for everything on the menu - it’s different and very unique. No point in comparing it to other venues like Mamouns etc. This is a unique place in the history of Jersey City. You will love the food, if you don’t its okay - not everyone has to like everything in the world. This is an authentic place with hard core flavors - try lamb shawarmas, falafels and grilled kebabs.

02/23/2022 , 2:00 pm . I swear I won't eat here again. I pay for the order and after 1 minute they gave me this food. cold, not tasty, a huge sliced onion. Most importantly chicken soup without chicken meat and very spicy.

They have the price over the roof for what's served; I went there by myself and got a combo platter with 2 pieces of baklava, i have to say, the baklava was splendid, lot of flavor and not too sweet, now; the platter, the only thing i really liked about it was what i believe it was lamb, i live 5 mins away so the food was piping hot when i got home, yet the chicken and beef were already hard and chewy, the rice was acceptable, and the salad too, but for a 20-25$ platter i expected much more or the meat to at least be juicy and full of the flavors like you usually expect, I'll go back to this place, but it'll be for their baklava and the lamb, nothing else.

The falafel pita is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. So tasty. Their hot sauce is also delicious, but it is very spicy. Will be back often :)

Today was a cold day and all I wanted was a good homemade meal. This hit the spot. The service was excellent. The young man at the restaurant was patient with us as we made our selections. The restaurant was small as all are up here in NY/J but it was CLEAN! It was homey, it was cozy, it was welcoming. The mint lemonade is something of a novelty and they make it in house. The hummus is unlike anything you’ll ever buy at a grocery store…and the spicy pita chips are perfection. I am about to try a slice of baklava and other assorted pastries but I couldn’t wait any longer and wanted to leave a raving review!!!

Ordered lamb over rice platter. Waste of time lamb is bland some pieces are burnt to a crisp the rice is plain American rice with something to make it yellow not basmati and they only give you one tahini sauce and you have to pay $1 each for extras salad starting to turn brown. Total waste of $14. Even pita bread was burnt hard and dry. Guess Ibby's falafel is only good for falafel

Best falafel in JC and NYC
