Love coming to Griot, one of the few cafes I try to actually sit and chill in. The food is great, the coffee is phenomenal, the vibes are just right— the staff, the decor, and the music. The book library is super cool, especially the kids section.
Love The Heights here in Jersey City and love the coffee here in the Griot Cafe. When I walked in for the first time I was greeted with a smile and my cappuccino with oat milk was spectacular. As you enter the space it feels so much larger. It’s very inviting with the subtle lighting & the modern interior design. Perfect for sipping your favorite drink while reading your book or typing away on your laptop. Thanks for the great coffee and I will be back for more!
The cafe is really spacious and the menu simple and affordable. The breakfast sandwiches are just right - not too greasy, toasty, and generously loaded :) coffee was also great (I like a strong cup!)
Avocado toast was unreal and the beignets were equally delicious! I was happy to support this lovely minority owned business. :)
Stopped by and bought a delicious breakfast sandwich with a smoothie. Everything was great! I'll be back soon!

Beautiful restaurant excellent food. Even has a kids corner. I loved the children's library with books by black authors and black children in the pictures. Definitely promoting self love for our babies. Food was fresh and the taste was amazing. Definitely comfort food.
Amazing food, very cute inside. They have a small section with children's books to sit with children. The Griot sandwich is so flavorful. Great local spot, highly recommend!
Got the loaded omelette and strawberry banana smoothie. Food is very tasty, staff is friendly and attentive. Loved the cleanliness and decor too. Nice little gem
