Went today for lunch asked for pernil & tostones what I got was a plate full of oil & hardly meat just fat the tostones were small circles very disappointed for $35 it was a waist never again …

Great food. Great staff. Good luck finding alcapurrias as good as these

El Sabroso offers really great food but the worst possible service. This place is a prime example of "good Cooks, awful business people. " The ordering system is an antiquated mess that results in mixed up orders and incredibly long wait times. Customers can literally arrive and stand in a stagnant line and have to wait15-25 minutes before even being able to place an order. This place needs better business practices and a POS system in the worst way... The food is good but not good enough to overcome the poor customer experience.

Bought food to go to then find a bug on my chicken and my ribs tasted like it was old meat, rice was crunchy and service was horrible. Def not authentic Puerto Rican food. And the price is expensive for the type of food. Never going there again too bad I even had to give them one star. Save your money folks

This use to be my fav Puerto Rican spot but after today I will not be returning. First as I enter the restaurant I got paint all over my sleeve from them painting the door & they didn’t even warn me the the paint was wet. I came here to have dinner with my family & the service was terrible. We were waiting almost an hour for the alcapurrias & when the waitress brought them they were hard as a rock & hardly no meat inside. My godmother ordered the oxtail soup & the waitress waited until she brought out all the food to tell her there was no more soup left. She ended up having to order a pernil sandwich & it was cold & had cheese, lettuce, tomato, & Mayo on it which was not what she ask for. The rest of the meal was cold as well. Such a disappointment. You need to do better. You just lost an entire family of customers.

I faithfully spent my money with them until today. They are disrespectful and rude. Can never get anymore of my money.

That was the worst place I have ever had Spanish food at, no taste and way to expensive for the porions.. it should be called no sabor!!

Hands down one of the best Spanish restaurants in Jersey City

Excelente good service food delicious

I use to be a frequent customer after today. Constantly getting disrespected verbally with dirty looks from the owner as well as her staff. Today I ordered steak sandwich, & this is what I recieved. A Steak inside a bread with no chesse, onions, or tomatos. Food quality sucks, is pricey, & owner claims to be a Christian but lack respect. Continue to treat your customer this way, & I see you shutting down in the near future.
