My wife and I have been coming here for ages and it’s a family tradition. The ice cream is amazing and the owner has been here since it was the old Carvel. The service is always as sweet as the ice cream. It’s a Jersey City tradition.??
Love this ice cream spot! Brings so much childhood nostalgia for me and the quality hasn’t changed! The owner is very sweet and accommodating. She makes the best ice cream shakes around! Stop complaining about the price when everything has gone up and naturally will effect every business. I’d rather spend my money here at a mom and pop shop that’s been a staple of the Heights community for years, than a Haagen Dasz or other chain. Can’t beat the taste and proximity ❤️
Horrible la mujer que atiende es una pena !., que traten mal a los customers.. Horrible experience she mistreated customers.. she also charged me more and when I call her she hang up the phone ! DON’T go to this place
June 2022: I just can't pay $8 for a sundae. THAT IS CRAZY.

Very authentic ice cream!!
This is best ice cream cake. I buy only one place I brought up to 20 years. It's reasonable price.
3 stars because i loved this place for years until they raised the prices. We would buy from here since the 90’s and just last year I remember buying a bunch of pints as usual to share with family which were a little over 5$ by last year. Now $8 for a pint i was shocked, very disappointed with the drastic price change.
The owner was very dismissive. She gave me a free scoop to compensate but she would cut me off every time I would explain myself to her about the hair follicle in my ice cream. She explained its not serious and kept cutting me off. Very much left a bad impression on me. The principles of respect, she did not have for me
A few things:- The store layout feels confusing. I wasn’t sure where the menu was and wasn’t clear where the ice cream was.- It’s overpriced. One simple waffle cone with two scoops was $6 - compared to other local ice cream shops, this doesn’t bode well.- The ice cream is touted as homemade and while it is tasty-ish, there’s nothing special that justifies the homemade status or the price. The good news is that there didn’t seem to be a card minimum. However, only MasterCard and Visa are accepted (sorry friends who were trying to score points with AMEX or Discover).Decent but not a must try.
