Sharing a celebratory luncheon with my nephew, family & friends. Congrats to my nephew for graduating Rutgers University-Newark with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & minor in Creative Writing. City Diner is near the Jersey City waterfront. A beautiful day for a walk after lunch! I had a delicious BBQ rib sandwich, fries & French onion soup. My nephew's girlfriend who is from Arkansas, tried the Jersey disco fries, which she claimed was delicious. Service was exceptional!
Good morning.. we had a good meal... And the waitress was very attentive... I really appreciate that. Good staffing choices A+. The piece of grilled chicken that came w/eggs in the 1st pic .. seasoned nicely, juicy, (not thick not chewy not old) really tasty piece of meat... I wanted more but that wasn't from my plate food lol ? imma add another star because of someone else food.
Wow! What a nice modern diner. The service here is quick and amazing. The food here is delicious and plentiful. And you don’t leave the place smelling like food which is a plus!Definitely recommend checking this place out.
This places is the best! Highly recommend and encourage you to try it out. The menu is great. I also stopped for breakfast and it was fantastic. Lots of food. You won’t leave hungry.
Close to our hotel and awesome food...was recommended to by several people. Huge menu and drink list! Beware though...pricey like most everything around there.
We ordered our food through DoorDash and it was missing multiple items and the mix Gyro that my sister received the meat was burnt and dry as if they had it sitting out for a while. They sent a milkshake that had separated and turned to foam. Not exactly sure of how a milkshake can do that unless you make it prior and put it in a refrigerator instead of a freezer. I would never order from them again at all. No utensils, no condiments, nothing.
The breakfast quesadilla I had was so good!!!! I am still thinking about it. I wanted a margarita it they made me something close to it. I really enjoyed the service I received. My server was very attentive and knowledgeable and I appreciated it! I went in the afternoon and it was pretty slow which I did not mind. I will definitely return here for another meal.
A good diner spot if you're looking for breakfast. Nice sized menu (no muffins to speak of is the only downside), friendly staff, and unlimited coffee- all your diner staples. Prices are a little high, but not out of touch for JC. It can get pretty busy on weekends but I've never had trouble getting a table. They do fast delivery on all the apps too, which is a boon if you don't feel like dining in
Looks great but chicken tasted really dry and reheated almost. I would get the soup but skip any chicken items. Service was good but make sure the bill is what you expect.
Great place ,great food.We ordered for tomato soup ,pesto chicken pasta and chocolate shake .Everything was tasty and good portion size .Totally recommend.
