Amazing Latin food! Very lovely people with great attention! I love their beef soups, their chicken, everything is so tasty!

After moving into Jersey City three months ago, my girlfriend and I had tried various spots to see which ones were worth the money. Let me tell you Chikos is a bang for your buck, a hidden gem in the wall, and an absolute treat for yourself whenever youre in town! Food is great, portions are generous, and the price point is affordable for anyone who wants to make this their local spot! The family that owns this spot knows how to run a kitchen and is very hospitable. If youre in the area, give it a try

I Always stop by to get food served with love. The food is delicious and the service is very friendly and accommodating

All I can say is ADIO MIO!!!! The seafood soup is outstanding and the bake chicken melts on your mouth! The prices are reasonable and the staff is customer friendly. The food is always served hot and fresh! YUMMIES ?

I came here a few weeks ago with one of my friends that was visiting from Seattle. We had just finished walking Liberty State Park about 5 minutes away and wanted to try a new cuisine but also didn't want to spend too much. We found this restaurant and saw it had amazing reviews so decided to try it.There is plenty of parking on the street, which is rare in Jersey City, so you don't have to worry about that when you are coming here.First of all, this is one of the cutest restaurants I've ever been to! It is very cozy and a hidden gem. The entire restaurant is run by a small family and they are all super friendly. The mother does the cooking, so it is as authentic as you can get!Being that this is the first time we were trying Honduran food, we decided to get a few different items to try a variety. We ended up getting pupusas, a Cuban sandwich, Baleada con todo, peppered steak, and a horchata.Additionally, the waitress was kind to give us a free sample of the seafood soup. The soup is TO DIE FOR. It was AMAZING and well above what I expected of a soup. If we had not ordered so much food already, I definitely would have wanted a whole order of it. It is packed with so much flavor. The one downside is that it is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. For $13, I think this soup is a steal and would totally come here on those days just for this. The seafood soup was at the top of my favorites list, then the Baleada con todo, pupusas, Cuban sandwich, and then the peppered steak. Everything was delicious, and the whole meal came out to be only around $30 which was way lower than both of us guessed. For this price, I was able to leave full and extremely satisfied. One thing to note is that if you want to tip on your credit card, you have to tell the waiter before they process the transaction, as there is no line to write in a tip.Overall, this is one of the cutest restaurants I've ever been to, well priced, and will definitely be returning in the future when I am in the area again. The staff is so warm and welcoming that I would go just to see them again! If you had to only pick one thing from the menu, I highly recommend the seafood soup! It is out of this world!
