I really tried to support this place regardless of the poor customer service, the service is so slow the prices have gone so high which wouldn't be the main issue if the quality and the portions matched the price. 17 dollars for salt fish & ackee (breakfast) with barely any salt fish and tons of dumplings and banana. Today was the last day they received my support.
Thank you for preparing the food for my father’s birthday on short notice. My family love the food especially the jerk chicken, pepper shrimp and salmon. Food was spicy and delicious!
Ordered brown stew chicken, rice and peas and plantains. They were overpriced and under taste?. The plantains were hard and old, they gave 2 small pieces of chicken with way more bone than meat and the cabbage was undercooked, no flavor, raw and hard. If i could give them no stars i would. This isnt the first time ordering from them and i am never satisfied. I will not be purchasing food from them again and i wont reccomend it???
I ordered jerk chicken and brown stew snapper. It was very good well seasoned and large portions. I will definitely return. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I’m glad l found this restaurant. I told all my friends to try it.
So I’ve tried to support this business a few times too many and this is my last time. First the service is extremely slow, its not authentic Jamaican but okay. The prices are inflated and I understand the prices of food has gone up but at least if you are going to have high prices, let the quality of the food and customer service match. The photo below is of a small porridge for $6.42 (when it supposed to be $4.00) that had to be warmed up in the microwave and it’s half full. Im so disgusting with place and attempted to call but no answer. So on top of poor service , fake Jamaican food ; now you ripping off customers in a primarily black neighborhood who attempt to show you support. In addition, look at the owners response to negative reviews, that should speak volumes.
Had to edit my previous review. Experience with this place goes from good, bad to worse. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. Will keep driving to EO or Newark. PREVIOUSLY ORDERED BECAUSE IT THE ONLY HALF DECENT CARIBBEAN RESTAURANT IN JC. HOWEVER CUSTOMER SERVICE IS IN THE TOILET. RUDE , BASICALLY LIARS WHEN IT COMES ON TO SPECIFICATIONS OF AN ORDER TO NOT FULFILL THE ORDER. NOT EVEN TASTE AUTHENTIC. BORN AND RAISED JAMAICAN, I SHOULD KNOW. The delivery person was the best part of this experience
