Although the food did take a while to come out it was definitely worth the wait! The food was great and the cannolis were amazing! The waitress/bartender was super kind and so were the other customers inside the restaurant. Next time I’m in New Jersey I’ll be coming back!
Good Italian food in an old fashioned setting.Service was an issue, we had to wait 45 minutes after our appetizers for dinner, no apologies. 20% gratuity added on automatically. Not happy.
Came with friends who live nearby. We were greeted like we were old friends and seated right away. Order some drinks and looked over the menu. We ordered the mussels. They were terrific in marinara. The raviolis, and chicken parmesan were really good. The portions are large so we passed on dessert. An enjoyable meal I hope to repeat soon.
Old world tradition, family run, fresh made to order, and personal service, words you don’t hear anymore. Traditional family run restaurants are unfortunately a thing of the past!!! Don’t miss out on this one. Need I say more. Loved everything about it.

Amazing Italian old school little restaurant. Romantic homey design. Authentic Italian American cuisine. The bread pudding is so good it will make you want to sleep on the floor. Wine is good. Calamari is so dammed good and the tomato sauces are so damned good. My wife and I go to have a nice authentic warm hearty meal that fills you up in such a lovely way.
Tiny restaurant with a rustic feel. Food was great and authentically Italian. Beware when ordering appetizers, they're big and filling. So don't order too many or you won't be able to enjoy the delicious entrees.Ask the staff for recommendations, they're passionate and very approachable.
Everything delicious …the shrimp scampi is a must, Veal Pamigiana a must, the Fra Diavolo a must…..it’s the best!
Amazing food when dining in. Atrocious on Grubhub/seamless. A simple adjustment made while dining in is easy, making that same request through the app… not possible. Even a phone call did nothing… Dine in, a million times yes. Avoid ordering or take out. Price for dining yes… price for take out/ delivery not worth it if you have special requests…
Barge in is a very lovely restaurant and bar at night where you can go play pool and have a drink and talk with friends while playing music off a player. It's a nice spot not too far from downtown Grove Street and Newark Ave in Downtown Jersey City. I recommend everyone to go there
