The service was great. The atmosphere was relaxing and facility’s very clean. It’s always good to come to an environment where you can get good food and amazing service. We will be back soon!!
Took our dad out for Father’s Day weekend to grab a bite to eat, and I must say, the food was hot and delicious! The service was exceptionally friendly, and the cleanliness was amazing! I haven’t been to this IHOP In a long time, but I have to say this time has topped my experiences thus far!! Thank you to the amazing staff and the friendly manager! WE WILL BE BACK!!
We had an awesome time being feted by the Manager Simone ! Our entire meal was complimentary. I’m just so pleasantly surprised by the level of her kindness & hospitality. This is rare, even for this particular restaurant, that has always had a kind and accommodating atmosphere.We had to rush out last Sunday before being served and she insisted that my baby girl and I return for a complimentary meal.I’ve been taking my baby here from she was 1 year old and I’ve never had a bad experience. She’s celebrated Birthdays here. I’ve celebrated my Birthday here. We’ve celebrated internationally pancake day here , having free pancakes.This is the best ihop in New Jersey!!!
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Came to eat breakfast at 9 AM, was seated and promptly forgotten. The person (manager maybe) who ultimately took our drink order said they were short-staffed but there were two waitresses who came and took care of the THREE FAMILIES that sat down after we were seated. Here's what breakfast looked like for us:- 20 minutes to even get someone to take our drink order.- 20 more minutes to get that drink order.- 10 minutes to have someone take our food order- 1 hour before we actually got our food- No refills on our single glass of water and single cup of coffee- When food was brought to us, eggs so crusty from being under the heat lamp they were inedible. Same with hash browns (crusty outside, soggy & cold inside)- Topping forgotten on my daughter's pancakesFor every one of the above interactions, I or my daughter who was ON CRUTCHES had to get up from our table and go to the staff to ask for help or bother the poor girl who was busing the tables (she was big help, actually). But for our food, drinks, EVERYTHING it was like one of us had to chase people who flat ignored our presence!!! All three of those families were fed, cashed out and left before we were able to get the bill. The manager gave us 50% off our meal because (again) she realized how awful the food and the service were. And through all of this, we didn't raise our voices, demand to speak to a manager, nothing. We just wanted to eat and leave. Instead, we got shoddy service, awful food and two hours of our morning we'll never get back.I wanted to support a local business in the neighboring town but I will NEVER return to this location. I want to support BIPOC-owned businesses but if this is the quality of service and food we're going to get, I'll go elsewhere.
The food was good and also we got good service.
The chicken (strips) and waffles were very good! My daughter ordered a beef burrito bowl came with fresh slices of avocado. She had steak instead of shredded beef and it was very tasty!
It was cold wet and I was hungry. That’s a terrible feeling. Wanted something to eat and just relax but I wanted to socialize. I’m so glad I chose IHOP in Irvington. My waitress Nikita, the manager Nelly, and shout out to the cook Thank you,I really had a great time. They were so warm and friendly.The food was hot and delicious. Thanks lady .I have more fun enjoying the simple things in life
I visited this IHOP and had a wonderful experience from the customer service down to the food! I was greeted by the manager Nelly! She made me and my party feel welcome and was very present. I also appreciated the timing in which my food came out. I highly recommend this location.
I haven’t been to this particular Location in a couple years because one of my favorite people who used to worked there ended up leaving. So when my friends pulled up to this IHOP location, I was a bit skeptical. All of my skepticism went away simply from the amazing greeting from Nelly, who I later found out is a manager. The way she approached us was so inviting and attentive. Even our waiter, and other waiters from what I could tell, was amazing. She even walked the floor personally checking on everyone’s parties including mine. Whoever found her, found a gem. Definitely 10/10.
I went on a Wednesday morning at 10am. There was only 2 other people sitting at a booth eating. I was seated by the waitress and I gave her my order. 22 minutes later my food arrived. My pancakes weren't fully cooked and my bacon was under cooked. This is the second time I had this experience at this location. I can truly and honestly say I won't be back for strike 3.
