I was going to give the restaurant a four but the customer service was so professional and so hospitable I had to get them an extra star. I ordered okra and I had the sauce, bean sauce over my white rice. The okra and chicken ranked at 3:00. The chicken was a bit too tough for the American pallet. However, the okra was delicious. The sauce, the bean sauce needed more spices. Nevertheless I will definitely come back and try another dish. Very hospitable service oriented restaurant.

Let me start with the most important part:The flavor is there and the food is good!!!! Delicious . Tasty. Flavors are all around great, chicken, griot and the most perfect sos poa in the world!!!My only complaints are: I prefer dark meat chicken, the griot is cut too small and therefore some pieces are too cooked and the bunan could be crispier. But very good food!!!!

Hidden gem. I was on a hunt for bouyon soup. I called about 10 restaurants. No one had it except for Apanou. I was a bit skeptical because Apanou is a very small spot but I also never tried bouyon before. I just saw a picture of it online and knew it would taste good. I trusted Apanou's reviews and they didn't disappoint. The soup tasted better than I thought it would. Very flavorful and large portion. I'll be back for other dishes. Some of the best food is found in inconspicuous places.
This restaurant is authentic! Husband picked up 2 orders of fried goat combos. Came with mushroom rice, white rice, sweet plantains, beans, house salad & macaroni salad. Everything was fresh and seasoned well! Will definitely be coming back!
