Zack's proves that you don't need to be overly ambitious or have fusion cuisine to be one counted among Hoboken's best eateries. A well rounded menu means every dish is neatly executed and made fresh, with plentiful portions and very reasonable prices. A great cocktail selection and a handful of drafts round out their selections. The atmosphere is perfectly upscale casual, so you'll never feel out of place no matter what you're wearing or who you're bringing. One of my favorite spots in Hoboken, and an absolute treat that hasn't disappointed in the dozen times I've gone
A classy place with friendly staff and delicious food. Didn’t have reservations and though it was pretty full, yet got a 2 seat table right away. Our sever was very friendly and courteous by not rushing us into ordering food. We ordered drinks and took our time to savor them and enjoy the evening.As for food, we got the Hoboken chicken sandwich; probably one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. The hint of spicy chicken in combo with sweet apple slaw was amazing.The brisket burger was great as well, very flavorful.The portion sizes are generous.Definitely a great place to go for a date or for a night out with friends or family.
We tried to book for a party of 6-8 online, were unable to do that because no one answered the phone And the voicemail box was full. The instructions of the restaurant was that for bookings of 6+ we needed to call the restaurant. We ended up booking two reservations. One for four people and one for two people. When we showed up at the restaurant we tried to get the tables joined up. There was clearly 2 tables of four but the hostess was unwilling to join the tables or make any accommodation whatsoever. As it turned out two of the settings were not utilized the entire evening. From the moment we checked in, before we declared who we were, the hostess was frazzled and unfriendly. The evening deteriorated from then onwards. The waiting staff was very efficient and helpful. However the entire experience was tainted by the booking experience and the hostess.
Great brunch place. Had ordered the honey crisp chicken sandwich, hot chocolate and the banana muffin. Everything was tasty.
The food was all under seasoned. And they told us 3 times about their 90 minute rule, including at the very second the 90 mins was up. It was so inappropriate

I went in for dinner today, ordered a cocktail, burata cheese & finally a brisket blend burger.The food was delicious, the burata cheese was tasty & the burger was made to perfection.The staff was super nice.I highly recommend to make reservations if you are a group of 3 people or more since the place fills up quickly.Nit cheap, but well worth it in my opinion.Will definitely come back again, I heard they also have a great brunch ,worth checking out ?

On a recent visit to the NYC area, we stayed in Hoboken for three nights. The first night we ate at Zack's and we decided to return on our last night. Most of the other restaurants in the neighborhood had closed their outside seating for the season; they were very crowded and noisy . . . definitely NOT COVID-safe. On the other hand, Zack's has plenty of outside seating, well-designed, comfortable with effective gas heaters. It was a delight to eat without having to yell, and without having to worry about spreading the virus. The first night we ordered a selection of appetizers: the arancini and the mussels were great. The second night, two of us ordered the fish tacos, which were also very good. One of us ordered the crab cake, which was OK, but not outstanding.
Very good food. Lots of things on the menu I'd like to try, so we'll be back! The bar area had an old school steakhouse vibe, and was a good spot to hang out. Wine selection is limited, but large enough for us to find something (a couple of bottles, actually) that we liked.
