We have been going here for years and love the place. Some nice seafood options as well as burger stuff. Cocktails are thoughtfully designed and they have a bottle of just about every kind of liquor there. Definitely a place if you are into mixology and don't want to pay a ton of money. It is not a large place but there is usually seating,
Meh, seafood left you feeling like for the price you paid it could've been better. Shrimp cocktail felt over done. The oysters were mostly shucked well but 4 or 5 had big pieces of shell/sediment. The bar tender was really nice though and the cocktails he made were good. If you're looking for seafood I'd probably recommend going somewhere else.
This was pretty good! I had a lobster roll which is always a bit of a shot in the dark because you know you’re paying a high price but is it going to be worth it? This place delivered! Oh and the fries were tasty too!
The food was tasty, had good flavor, cooked appropriately and portion size was perfect. I didn’t really LOVE the Chocolate cake slice, to me, it could be a little richer in flavor. The calamari was also not the best, too small and crumbly and the dipping sauce was okay. We had to make reservations in advance, it seems like the place is always busy. I would definitely go back to try other dishes and drinks.
The lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. The calamari was perfect we had to order another round. Oysters fresh on ice and half off special for the day. Clam shower Soup had bits of bacon in it, very nice touch. The Moscow mule I ordered was spot on. Service was on point. Very nice place inside and outside. I recommend outside.
Yummm oysters, lobsters, and clams OH MY.I used to come here a lot more often about 3 years ago. Pre covid. Not going to lie thought it wouldn’t be the same after pandemic, but I was mistaken. Had a great mezcal cocktail sooo good. Had the mini seafood tower, oysters and clams so freshhh but ugh only reason why its getting 4 stars is the lobsters toughness :/
Always fresh and delicious - Stingray Lounge is THE place to enjoy oysters outside Manhattan and NJ Suburbs. Great selection, all along The East Coast (Maine, NY, NY Canada) as well as West Coast.
This restaurant was amazing! Their seafood is delicious! Food tastes fresh and the ambiance is cozy and low lit. Perfect for couples!! The bar area is great for friends. We had the buttery lobster roll, the spicy garlic shrimp, old bay fries and the fried calamari. So much goodness!! Drinks were “grandpas old cough medicine” and a J vineyard Chardonnay. Perfect pairings for seafood dishes!! Love it & will b back again!!! However - they should really consider serving something else besides ruffles alongside a lobster roll!!
My fiancé and I LOVE coming here. Best oysters in Hoboken hands down, and really great cocktails, but above all else the service is always great. Super friendly staff. The owner even introduced himself to us once and gave us his personal recommendations on the oyster options that day. Made us feel welcome and connected to the place. Highly recommend this spot!
Food and drinks were great.. staff noted there was 90 min time limit and made the entire experience rushed, we left within an hour. Felt so rushed we only had one drink each, dozen oysters and we left.. we preferred eating somewhere we could actually enjoy our convo and dinner
