Very hit or miss when it’s good it’s great but when it’s bad it’s terrible . I don’t mind paying but the consistency isn’t there

Love this place. It's so nice to have a Jewish deli in the area. Can't really go wrong here, but I am a big fan of the pastrami and brisket sandwiches. The only downside is if you get Russian dressing on them, the bread can get a bit soggy so eat soon. Very happy here, but can only come every so often for health purposes.

Very disappointed. Used to be a great pastrami sandwich but obviously not any more. The knish was cold and grainy. The minestrone soup was mushy. I guess we should have read the recent reviews, this seems to be a trend.

Charged me a classic $16 for a turkey sandwich on sliced bread because they were "still figuring their menu out." The person at the register just made up an outrageous price off the top of his head. They scammed me and I feel stupid. Would never go back there or recommend to anyone..... half decent sandwich though.

It's good in a pinch, not everything on the menu is a winner, but the soups and basic sandwiches are solid and well priced. Stick to the kosher deli style offerings and you can't go wrong. If you're expecting a Katz style sandwich, this isn't the spot for you. But, if you're really jonesing pastrami in Hoboken, this is one of the few options.

This place lies. The menu has a $17 stacked pastrami sandwich but in the check it was $20, for a Hoboken sandwich! They had no explanation for the pricing difference.I can make a decision over an expensive sandwich but I really cannot accept a neighbor who lies. It’s up to you what you do about that. In my view this place doesn’t belong in our community. The manager just replied confirming that the prices on their brochure as wrong because "they are a year old."And by the way, yes, like the manager says they charge an extra 4% for credit cards.Whatever the reason... their brochure LIES. if you want a $20 sandwich go there (the brochure will say $17, but look at your check). Hoboken has so much better... Vito's, La Casa, and Fiore's, to name a few. We really have an amazing tradition for great restaurants and deli's with integrity in Hoboken. (I'm so proud of our city.) This place just doesn't belong with our Hoboken values. They are still lying!Look at their web site... they actually still say $16 dollar for the Overstuffed sandwich on their website... but as management confirmed, It's $20! A full 25% higher.Just be honest...Not Hoboken values.

After paying $30 rt in uber to check this place out I felt very disappointed. The sandwich was very skimpy and the pastrami tasted and looked like uncooked bacon.I feel like this place is making money off of past reputation. For me it's a no thank you

Service is bad and the pastrami is worse. I called in to order (which they told me was the best way to ensure I could pick up my food at a certain time) and when I showed up they took my name and said it wasn't ready. 15 minutes later I asked them if my order was coming and they asked my name again and then said they didn't have any order for me. I told them I called it in and they said I probably called the wrong Pastrami House. I showed them my phone with the proper phone number to prove I called the correct restaurant. They then took the order again and the guy said, "I remember this. I don't know how they lost the ticket.". I will say that they were apologetic. After I got the order home I realized they messed up the sandwiches by putting mustard on the wrong ones and the coleslaw and russian dressing on the wrong ones. The crazy thing is that they wrote it correctly on the box but the sandwich inside didn't match. The worst part was the pastrami was awful. It was like eating plastic. Worst pastrami I've had in 50 years of eating deli. I will say that the potato pancakes were tasty.

good and bad. chicken soup and potato latkes were very good, so was the turkey. The pastrami and corned beef were hospital cafeteria quality. get the sides, skip the beef.
