I had this cake delivered for my beloved brother's birthday. Everyone LOVED it + said it was delicious! An Italian family from NJ who recognizes quality! I saw so many concerning reviews that turned out to be completely inaccurate. Everyone reported the cake was unbelievably moist and fresh, it arrived on a Friday, on time & served the following Wednesday. A GORGEOUS work of art!!! Several guests at the gathering are already planning to purchase it for family and friends - for a week straight, everyone could not stop raving how delicious it was!!! Obviously, it's a sweet cake as there is icing on every side with sprinkles and in between each layer. If you are a person who prefers only a little frosting this cake is not for you. If you love frosting, this is your cake. It was a true hit!!! My family enjoyed it for almost a week & could not stop remarking how fresh it kept! Grateful I trusted my gut. My family and I went to the Rideau Shopping Centre to find the famous Cake Boss vending machine. Amazing marketing, but when I tried the cake (Red Velvet) my stomach felt sick for the next two hours, I could tell that it was stale and not fresh. I would go to a bakery that makes fresh cakes every day. For $9.99 a slice, not going back. ( Ella age 11 / Guinness record holder of the worlds largest Nanaimo Bar.)
Ordered cake. It was not sent out. Wanted it for valentines.it wS suppose to be here today.it won't come till Monday. They didn't cancel my order or refund my money when they suspected it was gonna come late. Instead they sent the cake and neither Goldbelly or the bakery accepted responsibility for the ruined product
Ordered via Goldbelly. Threw it in the garbage . Tasted terrible like freezer burn. For almost $8 a slice, it is a disgrace
I heard the cake boss runs this and was going to order 2 cakes for nearly 70 dollars, but after reading the reviews, I am going to my local bakery so I'm not disappointed.
I received an email from Carlo's Bakery advising if I ordered a 6" cake I would get one free, no matter what combination I tried the 2nd cake was NOT free. I tried contacting Gold Belly via phone AND email more than 10 times to find out what I was doing wrong, I got a recording that said I should leave a voice mail because they were too busy to pick up and they would respond within 3-5 days! I then tried to contact Gold Belly by email but got no help there either, two days later I got a reply that said too bad my order had shipped even though I no longer wanted it, no 6" cake is worth $69.95 so why would I order 2 at that price? When I finally heard from a Customer Service Rep she tried to get me to accept a $15 coupon and keep the VERY expensive order. To avoid any grief with this website, and I'm a HUGE website shopper, please don't order from them, their website is difficult to navigate and they don't care about customer service!!!!
I was at Carlos Bakery today, and really, everything is very expensive for the poor quality of the cakes. that bakery is famous just because he was on the show .. if you want to eat good cakes, go to your local bakery
I don’t really like the guy on TV but my kids wanted to try it. The cake was literally amazing. The cookies were also great. I would do this again.
Bought a red velvet cake for 40 dollars they cake was horrendous and small. I was completely disappointed in the cake. I can’t believe this came from Carlos bakery what a disappointment.
So fun to see the place we all watched on tv! Prices aren’t cheap, but hey, it’s Carlos!
