staff is super friendly, our server was sunny and he did a great job with service i wish i could give five star to service separately, the sating was great, indoor was decorated really well. there are a lot of food options and also many drinks options. since we were not much hungry we mostly got small plates, the food was okay! expected better than the one i had and the drinks were really good, the quantity was huge, we had melon drink that was bitter so the server changed it with prosecco i believe, not sure exactly what it was but it was good.can definitely try this place again for main course.

I've been wanting to try Karma Kafe since pre-Covid when I saw they had a buffet for $14.99. Sadly, I never got around to it and the buffet is no more, due to Covid. But the dishes are good, and prices are very reasonable, especially for the portion size. We had enough leftovers for a second meal. My husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday at around 5:30. There was only one other table dining there at the time but the front table was already filled with takeout orders. Here is everything we ate:To start, they bring out a complimentary app, that is like a super thin cracker, along with a trio of sauces. I wish I asked what the sauces were - it seemed like some kind of mango salsa, a cilantro chutney, and a tomato (?) chutney. All three were greatPaneer Kulcha - this reminds me of a naan stuffed with paneer and you really can't go wrong with anything that involves paneerKabab Sampler (chicken tikka kabab, chicken ginger kabab and lamb seekh kabab) - this is basically a giant plate of meat and I'm not mad it it. My favorites were the lamb and the chicken tikkaKarma Kafe Biryani (Basmati rice casserole layered with seasoned Shrimp, lamb, chicken, and vegetables flavored with aromatic herbs and spices and served with raita on the side) - it seemed like everyone was getting the biryani, so I wanted to try it. It was a HUGE portion and when I say huge, I mean they pulled up another table just so they could set the plate down. I wasn't a huge fan of it but I'm beginning to think that I just don't love biryani. There's a certain spice in it that I'm not keen toHopefully, they'll bring back the buffet so that I can try a bigger variety of dishes. Until then, I'll need to try my go-to, chicken tikka masala but I have a feeling I already know it's going to be amazing.

Nicely located on the main road. Variety of options on the menu. Quantity of food is good for 2-3 people easily. Garlic naan is fluffy and delicious. Don’t miss the watermelon juice, it’s fresh with no added sugar. Chicken samosa was little dry but tasted good. Chicken Malabar had a unique taste and comes with rice and daal. They also serve papad on the table.

One of the best Indian food in USA. The food was delicious and the serving was amazing. Very attractive interior. The staff was very good. We just loved the food here. If you get chance to eat here don't miss it.

Without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in the Jersey City area.Pros:- Plethora of Indian cuisines.- Both Veg & Non- Veg option.- They provide freshly squeezed juice; watermelon is my personal favorite.- You can choose between thali and ala-carte options.- Papad is served a complimentary.- Moderate prices. Can be improved:- Tomato soup is nothing like a soup.- Street parking only.Note: Limited seating space so plan your visit.

The Bombay shrimp is amazing - the perfect appetizer! (See picture) Vegetable samosas are also a great appetizer. The entrees are so varied and delicious. **The most important thing** - garlic Naan bread is a must!!Definitely one of my top 5 restaurants in Hoboken!

My top choice in Hoboken! We had the Veggie Jalfrezi and the sliced Tandoori Chicken wrap. Both were flavorful, nutritious, generously portioned, and well-priced. The staff were delightful and the ambiance was enjoyable. There was a television in the corner playing news (which I tend not to like), but it was inaudible and placed such that ornery people like me can easily sit at any table with their back to the TV and forget that it's there. Our only (minor and excusable) complaint was that it took until the end of our meal to get the mango chutney that we were supposed to get with one of our dishes—they were very busy with both in-person and take-out orders (clearly a popular place!). They were kind enough to give us some to go so we could at least enjoy it with the leftovers.I saved the menu on my phone and I look forward to returning to try one of the dozen or so dishes that I have highlighted.

Their food is fire. If you eat meat, deff try their chicken biryani. It’s soooo good! Also, if you order sabzi they give you a side of daal and rice which is good too. Cant believe we found this gem on Washington street. Give it a try ASAP!

Ate a fabulous Indian meal here. The restaurant’s interior decor was beautiful - not fancy but very tasteful and authentic. They service HUGE portions!!! The service was excellent, waitstaff polite and attentive. And the food was delicious - complexly with just the correct level of spices. Absolutely recommend and if you eat here you will understand why they have such high ratings!!
