This is the curry and vegetables. It's literally a can of unseasoned corn and peas and string beans over rice. I was really hoping this place was good, I'm unsure how the reviews were so fooling. The 3 little pieces of boiled potato had no flavor, there was no curry flavor whatsoever. No flavor at all. The rice couldn't have been coconut because the rice had no flavor either. This is absolutely insane, I cannot believe this was $10. This is like group home food. I had to report it immediately.I'd try somewhere else, unless you want a platter of flavorless rice with canned veggies on top.EDIT: instead of thanking people for nice reviews, the owner replies only to ones where people didn't like the food - unprofessional and weird. Even weirder she deleted it. Numerous people complain about the same thing and instead of taking it into consideration and wanting to make it better for people - she was extremely rude to me. The food is terrible, I tried other things. Unfortunately, none was good.

This is by far the tastiest Vegan food I have had at a restaurant. They made us taste an item before ordering, to help us decide the order. The items were quickly served and the service was great. Vegan Kofteh Wrap and Kadaif were my favorites! Highly recommend this restaurant

Stopped by 40 min before closing and was welcomed in with great enthusiasm. The person working was very friendly, answered all our questions and made excellent recommendations. They even let us take a small sample to make up our minds. The food was great! The person I was with was hesitant because this was a new experience for them but they ended up enjoying everything at the end. We didn't even realize how long we stayed and stayed way past closing and they still were super nice and super friendly.I would highly recommend this place if you're in a neighborhood and you're looking for some really good vegan food or just food in general!!

Where to start..just got back from the city and decided to go to a vegan spot in Hoboken. Happy Vegans was the simplest name so my group and I chose it. What an amazing choice it was. The chef was super nice and helpful with everything I needed. Here’s what we order and fully enjoyed everything. I wish I took pictures of everything but it was so delicious and we shoved it all down our pretty little throats so quickly! I will show a picture of the only piece of baklava left after mid eat and saying I needed to write this place a review. Please try, this. I’m not vegan, this is such a great vibe here over looking the busy street with amazing music and and awesome chef! Here’s what we offered:Vegan Kofteh wrap 9/10Beyond burger 10/10Falafel Wrap 12/10Tomato Soup 9/10Baklava 20/10Cheesecake 12/10I will be back here again!!

Amazing atmosphere. Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious food!

If you’re comfortable buying food from a place where the workers don’t wear a mask and comfortably talk over the food, while they’re serving it, then this place is just right for you. I’m not too familiar with Hoboken, but it’s obvious that quite a bit of the people around there are comfortable not wearing masks, which is a normal sight to see. However, I was not expecting to ever see a FOOD establishment not wear masks — especially with this new rise.I will say that the workers there did seem to be VERY nice. However, when I asked one of the workers if they don’t wear masks in here, they smiled and said, “not really”. They don’t even wear hair nets…lol. Anyway, I ended up asking the worker preparing my food, to please put on a mask. Low and behold, they did very much have easy access to masks right behind them. But, they just choose not to wear it, which I find to be VERY unsanitary. With that said, I understand that pre-covid it was the norm to not wear masks in food establishments, but times have changed. At least have your hair tied back or in a hair net?? I originally wanted to check this place out because they had good reviews, but it was so disappointing and even when I asked them about something I was planning to get(their gryo), they said not to because it doesn’t taste good lmaooo. Never have I been somewhere, where the Gyro is bad. I wonder how bad it is? ? At least they were honest, but in general, the food looks kind of mid and might suit the tastebuds of people who are used to mediocre food.Their desserts do look delicious and before seeing that they didn’t practice proper sanitary habits, one of the workers had me try a Turkish treat, which was nice and he was very nice as well. Again, I did think the workers were really nice, but I already made up my mind, that I was just going to throw the food away. The girl making my food was new and I didn’t want to place any pressure or distress on her, by asking them for a refund. So, I took the L and kept it pushing.I ended up going to Tacoría that recently opened like 2 blocks down from Happy Vegans, which I recommend instead for food — ONLY if you truly care about protecting your health during this time. Hate to leave such a low review, but needed to be honest, so people can be safe. Hope some action is taken!

Healthy delicious vegan everything. Great selection and quality, friendly service. Wish I could give 10 stars.

I've been trying to check out this place for awhile. Went on Sunday with my Mom. The owner was super nice and gave us samples to try. He suggested the Vegan Gyro Over Rice, it was delicious and the portion was large. The Lentil Soup was full of flavor. Mom ordered the Ceasar Salad which to her delight was amazing! I will be adding this place to my list of Vegan Spots.

Love this his place! I order from here as my weekly cheat meal :)So far i have had the vegan gyro and the black bean burger. The gyro was great, the black bean burger texture was a bit dense for me. But the flavor was nice. The fries from here are awesome and the baklava is to die for. Ive never been a big baklava fan but the ones here are insanely sticky yet flaky all at the same time.

So excited to have this spot right near me. This was my first time at the restaurant, and the man behind the counter (Tahir!) gave me a sample of the kofteh as well as the baklava which were both truly incredible - I cannot wait to go back to get a full order of kofteh!! For my meal, I got the vegan gyro and absolutely loved it. Be sure to get sauces on the side! You can tell the menu has been thoughtfully developed and that the team there is committed to serving delicious healthy food.
