Cold stone was a favorite of mine many years ago. I would travel from a neighboring town for the great ice cream. I placed the order online and I had the option to order from Hoboken or North Bergen. Since I’ve had great experiences with Hoboken I figured I take the 20 min drive.Once I completed the order it said the cake wouldn’t be done until 1:45. I needed the cake by none. I called over TEN times. Most times the phone just rang. I spoke to someone who barely understood what I was saying. I explained what I needed, and he asked for my number and said someone would call me back. I didn’t want to leave my number. (People never call back when they say they will. It’s just a ploy to get you off the phone.) So, he said call back in 5- 10 so I can speak to the manager. I called back in 20. He said the manager was available to call back again. I called several times and it just rang. He finally picks up the phone after another 2-3 call. I asked to speak to the manager and he says to call back after ten!I call the next day soon as they open. She says my cake CAN NOT be done any sooner. I say no problem I’ll cancel and go to the cold stone in North Bergen. They said they can’t.Long story short don’t go there. The place as gone DRASTICALLY down hill. Customer service isn’t even I thing at the location. I will NOT be back. The place also needs a deep cleaning BADLY!!The cake also looks like a toddler wrote on it
Most expensive ice cream I’ve had. Ordered 2 kid size ice creams very plain for almost $20. They didn’t have cones and the service wasn’t the best
The place was dirty. We waited over 25 minutes even thought there were 5 people working. They tried very hard to avoid eye contact as they took their time doing their work. Some people got tired of waiting and left. The lady who took the order rolled her eyes at me. Just a poorly managed establishment.
I went to this coldstone about two weeks ago with my husband. I grew up around cold stone and having moved from my hometown, i crave it all the time. Decided to spend the money on a pint of chocolate devotion so I wouldn’t have to make the 30+ minute drive from my house. Just to come home and find out they mixed coconut shavings and some sort of nut into my ice cream. I am allergic to nuts ?. Should’ve known it was going to be a disaster when I walked in and the floor was disgustingly dirty and so was their stone & work area. Unbelievable.
I placed an order for a cake pick up at 4:30 and arrived at 4:20. They told me they would not be able to give me the cake until 4:30. So they left my ice cream outside of the freezer for the time the made me wait. The place is also very dirty.
My boyfriend and I went to this cold stone, it was very dirty and the floors and tables did not look like they were being cleaned. The lights inside barely worked and it was super dark in there. My boyfriend ordered a medium cup of ice cream and as he began to eat it, we noticed there was a small cup inside of the medium!! We paid for a medium and received a small. The place is falling apart and needs upgrades.
Do have few eggless options. Asides from their ice-cream, we tried their shake (you could customize it) - it was awesome! If you don’t like thick shake, make sure you mention that in advance while the person is preparing the shake.
Worst cold stone, was in line for 20 min even though there were 5 workers working, 3 of them were making one milkshake and the other 2 were just talking and laughing they also they were not wearing gloves, for the price you pay for coldstone it's not worth the wait or the unsanitary ice cream.
I came to this particular location on Saturday. I was looking forward to Cold Stone all weekend. Usually at this location my ice cream my experience is usually perfect a experience. In the beginning the person who took my order was really nice and pleasant. Then she was told to stop by another coworker. I waited patiently another 4-6 minutes for someone to resume taking my order. It was a order of 3 order only 1 person was already at the cash register . Another coworker named Michael came over he was very friendly and started finishing off the order that was already started I explained to him that I only needed the two orders because one was already done. The same coworker who stopped the other person from helping us came over and also stopped him. She took over the order and proceeded to make a sloppy love it cup for my aunt which in the mist of that the original girl who was first helping me came to complete the order as soon as I told her my order the girl who is making my aunts Love it cup told her to stop and take someone else’s order. Which made the next customer uncomfortable asking me was I sure . At this point I didn’t want anything else I just wanted to pay for my two love it cups that was made already and leave with my family. At this point this experience made me feel awkward it made me a little confused at what was going on and it made me feel unwanted in the store. I didn’t appreciate that my aunt‘s ice cream was already melted by time it got into her cup. I paid and went outside and explain to my family why I didn’t want the ice cream after I talked about it all day long. A guy in regular clothes came over and told me how he’s sorry about my experience. His name was Joseph ,Joseph I believe was a store manager or owner of the store itself. Joseph took my order outside the store told me to come inside with him Made my order in less than four minutes and said it was free with a smile on his face still apologizing for the coworkers mishaps. I just want to take the time out to let you know that Joseph was amazing and I offered to pay over and over again and he said no. Thank you Joseph
This was the worst Coldstone I have EVER been to. I’ve never left a review before so that shows how disturbed I was by this experience. First off, the creamery itself was in horrible condition. The glass looked like it had not been cleaned in months. There were crumbs, dirt and dust all around the ice cream. The back counter was covered in dried on ice cream and filth. I saw one woman making a milkshake fill the unwashed blender from the previous milkshake and then proceed to grab a dirty lid from the sink, look at it and shrug her shoulders and use it to make a fresh milkshake. YUCK! Some of the toppings looked like they had begun to mold! I would never go here again. There were 6 people working and it took 15 minutes to take our order (we were the only people in line). Overall horrible experience and I hope they get new management. I’m not sure why the franchise would allow someone who is so poor at restaurant management manage such a prime location. Oh also I forgot. They didn’t remove the previous ice cream from the stone before they made the next ice cream! That’s the whole point of cold stone
