Terrible staff. I called to order lunchat 3:20pm while the lady on the phone began to ring up the order for main menu entrees. I told her the total was not lunch entree price. She refuse to honor the lunch price even though on their website it stated 3:30pm lunch menu is over. As I’m writing this review these chinese people quickly changed their lunch serving time. Very Sad, very frugal people.
I recently called on 03/21/22 around 3:20pm to order during their lunch hours. As I was finished ordering and about to pick up the food. The lady told me this bizarre total and I told her that is not their lunch prices listed on their website. She then told lunch was over so she assumed I wanted the food on main menu prices. I asked her why she felt the need to do that. She said lunch hours was over at 3pm while their website stated 3:30pm. She could’ve just honored the food one time instead she hung up on me and revised her website.
Let it be known that chinese people are very frugal. My experience with this restaurant was on the phone as I called to order off their lunch menu. The lady who I spoke to refused to honor their lunch menu price because she did not know their own lunch hours. Instead she rang up main entree priced food and expected me to pay on the phone. Never told me the price until the end of the conversation. That is when the argument began.
We have been looking for an old school, comfort food, Chinese restaurant since we moved a year ago. We found it.
Not impressed. They were nice but the food was just ok. I had the Sesame Chicken and it was over cooked. Chewy. I know most Asian restaurants like this pre cook there dishes to cut down on wait time for customers but I would rather wait a few minutes for good food then to eat chewy Chicken. They also brought us out those little snack things most chinese restaurants serve you with duck sauce. Those were stale. I won't go back.
Since there are not a lot of more authentic Chinese restaurants in Hillsboro, this is the only choice if you are in the area. However, the portions of their dishes and not sumptuous enough, and sometimes they might have presentation or quality issue. For example, we ordered a Thai salad, the pieces of main ingredient with chopped in huge chunks, one of the papaya pieces looked way too ripe and tasted strange. The stir fried dishes we ordered were okay. This won't be our first choice, but will only be I'll go to place when we need a quick bite in the area.
We loved the food! Definitely the best in the area and the staff was great
This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food and good service. I went there with my daughter to celebrate some tournament medals, and we had fried dumplings, which were really excellent, and then egg drop soup for me and miso soup for her. She then had sesame chicken and I had sweet and sour. Sesame chicken was the winner, though both were good. Highly recommend if you are in the area!
Lousy old digusting food. This will be the last time I will be coming here, you used to have delicious chinese food ordered here at least once every week or so, not anymore.
The food is always good when I get a chance to come here.
