Yo Adrienne....I've been hearing about this place since I moved to the area back in December. We finally placed an order to go and I'm very happy to say that they truly do not disappoint.My bestie ordered the Italian Stallian. I had the chef cut ham and cheese. The measure of any good sub starts with the bread. The seeded roll was excellent, both a crisp exterior with a nice chewy inside. All of the meats and cheeses were freshly sliced and very generous in quantity. Hands down, the most delicious tomato I've ever had on a sandwich.We can't wait to come back and try a steak sandwich next time. Wish I could give you 5 ***** !
Haven't placed an order from there for a while normally their sandwiches are awesome which probably still are they must have new people working there because they are rude as hell try to make a order was hung up on twice when I finally got through the personal and the other end was like we're closing in a very not nice tone I'm sorry if you're running a business I don't care what kind of hard day you have had you have to be nice. I will say though they do have the best sandwiches it's just the customer service that needs help.
Stopped in back in late 2020... neat looking little place to eat we're thinking. Nice store. It would've got three-four stars, but unfortunately we got sick right after lunch! One of us laid up seriously sick for 24 hrs!! The Bay Marie cold cut/lettuce cooler was uncovered while unattended, end of story.
So good! I had the Italian Stallion, light on the onions, with a pickle on the side and it was awesome! It's got a good selection of food and drink, and some really neat decor if you look around. My friend, and my boyfriend both got the Rueben and loved it.
Delivery and Communication are very disappointing! We have been ordering from here for years, and understand that there will be nights that will challenging for businesses, especially during these times. However what we experienced was, simply put unacceptable.Placed an order for delivery, and preface with i understand it’s a Friday night and things are busy. Once we placed the order, we were told that it will be there as soon as possible (Usually that means it’s probably busy, fair enough).After an hour or so passing by, we politely called to request and ETA on our order and were told it left 30 min ago (now mind you we are located about 15 min from the business). Okay, again understanding that it could be busy.Another 30 minutes ( based on their communications, now our hot sandwiches have been in the delivery persons car for an hour), we called to request an explanation and how we can resolve. We were met with no answer or explanation of where order was, and when asked if we can have the order remade so we can enjoy hot sandwiches we were told no because “they’re out of rolls”. Fair enough, and continued to ask if we can get a discount on older, now cold sandwiches that have not yet arrived and we’re told you cancel but sandwiches will not be delivered. Now we’re told, they are 10 min out…A total of 2 hours later (more than an hour in a car) our sandwiches arrive cold with a half baked “sorry about that” and that’s the end of their story.Unacceptable service! Again, I understand service breakdowns, but learn how to treat your patrons with a little more respect and understanding. This not a fancy restaurant, but any business should have a bit more empathy and not think they’re above any critique because of their “legendary” status.
Sugar hill in Mayslanding is one my favorite deli. The shop is neat and clean and severs fresh quality food. I am a vegetarian so fresh produce means a lot to me and i love there veggies grill sandwich. I specifically ask for BILL the star of the deli as he makes my sandwich excatly the way I want it......spicy and well seasoned. I must say not many places know how to make good seasoned veggie sandwich but this is the right place with right staff specially Bill ? ?
Do they have new owners? What's going on? Haven't been there in a long while because i had an argument with the owner & one of her employees over mistakes with my orders, so i stopped buying from them unless someone pay. Last week my best friend decided he wanted food from there & it's pretty much the same, my food was ok but his & another person was not made properly. Fast forward to today, my wife wanted a chef salad from there & i suggested we get one elsewhere but she wanted sugarhill. Once again both was wrong no sweet peppers,no bread & very little meat. Place is trash, service sucks, very last resort for me.
AWESOME!! Decided to try Sugar Hill and pick up some hoagies before heading over to Balic Winery for their music and wine. First time here and very impressed. Ordered the Italian and initially said the full size roll. After seeing what the full size looked like I changed it to the half size. The half size sandwich was about 12 inches of deliciousness with lots of meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato with just the right amount of oil and vinegar. My new favorite sub shop!!
Best food around no matter the time of day. A must go!!!! Food drinks and snacks available. Do call ahead during busy hours to reduce wait times. Eat in or take out. They have have awesome salads so be sure to try them all. Plentiful parking and on a well traveled road. Get their tuna it's amazing! They do take card.
My boyfriend brought me subs up tonight from sugar Hill subs. All the way up to HopatcongNJ. I was homesick for a south jersey. sub. Absolutely amazing subs as always!! Thank you!
