Let me first say - putting the following unfortunate experience aside – I love Pete’s Steak House for dinner – the specials are delicious, the prices are great and the atmosphere is festive.
Good food great prices. I have to go to Pete’s every time I’m up here from Orlando.
Amazing restaurant!! Best food around, and a great value!
Besides getting married and having kids, the best experience in life is stumbling onto a restaurant by chance and feeling like you struck gold. You want to tell everyone, but you also want to tell no one.Pete’s Steak House, in Hamilton is the real deal and a gem. The dining room and bar is vintage old time New Jersey decorated with generational family photos. It reminds me of Rossi’s from the ole Chambersburg, Trenton days. The menu favors mostly classic Italian with a mix of ruebens, pizza, and fish and chips. The portions are robust and presented in an authentic manner. The food is delicious, hot to the touch, and the fried food is cooked in same day oil.You soon realize this restaurant feeds the neighborhood as the patrons are local and the prices are extremely affordable. Everyone is nice and it’s easy to engage each other in conversation.I can’t say enough great things about Pete’s Steak House. This is a great place to eat, love, pray and reconnect with what was so good about simpler times.
It wasn't good from beginning. We sat in the dinner room and after about 8 minutes an aggressive waitress came to our table and sat "nobody will see you back here, you should had gone to bar to be seated. We said OK , cut felt she was rude. then the food. Our calamari was OK, the chicken soup Ok. We ordered a plain tomato pie, and it came with cheese which my daughter can't tolerate. so that was a disaster. My meal "Grandma's Cacciatore" comes. It was literally was a small chicken leg, a thigh, some more chicken joints I couldn't make out , with NO TOMATO SAUSE, just some greasy liquid which had no taste. We both left our meals, paid and left. Our waitress saw al the left food, and asked us if we wanted to get it to go. We said no. She never offered another entree. Worse place we ate at in a long time. Oh, if you have issues with high steps, think this place may not be right for you also. Place is only good for drinkers
I met with friends for dinner. The staff was very friendly. The place was somewhat crowded so the service was slow. The food came out delicious. I had the delmonico steak sandwich which I would recommend. Unfortunately it took our waitress some time to take our orders and give us the check afterwards. This is a good place to catch up with friends over good food and drinks just leave extra time.
I had the Delmonico Steak Sandwich with Cheese and Onion..Very good Sandwich..Excellent Service
After waiting close to an hour everyone's meal came out cold or overcooked. We were told too many people came at once and the kitchen was understaffed which could he understandable, however being served a salad on special with rotted blueberries is unacceptable. The owner didn't seem to care, simply stated the food got cold I'm re cooking it. After an hour and 30 minutes we left
Pig wings are top notch. The best! Also their Buffalo wings are delicious! I only wish they would do half Buffalo half garlic parmesan. Their wings only come in one flavor per order
My wife and I went here a few months ago. We got seated and waited 28 minutes before a waitress came to see us after i reminded the manager we were there. My wife ordered a cheese steak and I ordered a Delmonico steak, it was a cheap strip steak, not a rib eye. We waited about 50 minutes from when we ordered to when it arrived to our table. My wife's cheese steak was between room temperature and cold. my steak was not only cold, but sat on the plate so long before being served all the juice ran out of it i am surprised it didn't drip off the plate on the way to the table, it was tough, dry and cold. The steak litterly looked like it was sitting in soup broth. I returned the steak, my wife ate her sandwich, she was really hungry and said it would have been really good if it was at least warm. The waitress had an attitude, when we ordered she asked if we wanted bread we said no thanks and she asked again and we replied no thank u and that we are trying to keep the extra carbs down, she rolled her eyes and waddled away, but then again she must have been well over 300lbs. I didn't shame u for eating junk, so don't shame us for not eating junk. I ended up going down the road and getting sushi, rather than wait 50 minutes again for a steak they can't cook right and get to the table in a timely manner. This place should be embarrassed to call themselves a steak house. Any waitress with an ounce of experience should have known better and not have served a steak like that, the place must be full of drunks that will eat anything u put in front of them.Maybe this place is OK and I just got a lazy fat slob waitress that made the place look horrible, but unfortunately this was our experience.
