Very amazing food and the gift shop gives me an amazing vibe. Took us 50 minutes to get here, it was definitely worth it! I love this restaurant. Gives me such a good vibe. Has so many different types of things in the gift shop. Waiter was sooo nice. We even asked for a bigger table because my friend had a laptop, the waiter went out of her way and asked if we could have a bigger table in the back where no one was! I love cracker barrel! Will come again.

After being seated, it took 20 minutes to take our drink orders. The waiter was not attentive and there were only 6 tables sat total (with at least 2 waiters and a bus boy working).When we finally got the food, my mother's chicken and dumplings were laughable. There was one small shred of chicken in the bowl (photo added. The chicken piece is on the right). The chef should be embarrassed.We asked for the manager (we were later told his name was "payton".) He said he would check to see what happened and disappeared for 20 minutes. He sent out 2 different waiters to get us more drinks and deliver the sides they forgot ( they forgot 4 different sides for the table). When he finally reappeared, he had a plate of grilled chicken, and the same plate of dumplings. Not what my mother ordered. He was short with her not explaining what happened. Just saying "I got chicken for you". My mother refused the dumplings because they seemed to still be bad.This use to be a beloved spot for our family. We would travel up an hour just to eat here. But they have fallen down here in the food and service. They need new management and new servers. And if they can't get them, they should close and make room for a restaurant that will have good food and good service like cracker barrel use to.
Great place for American style fare, dishes are well prepared and servings are generous. Note restaurant can get busy at times, so you might want to call ahead. While your waiting you find lots of retro and Americana merchandise to purchase.
I am going to give this 2 stars only because the people were very nice but in reality it deserves a 1 star rating. We decided to come to Cracker Barrel because we had gone to them on a road trip to Florida and the service and the food was so good but this time it was so much the opposite. We got to the restaurant and they told us there would be a 1 hour wait which we were okay with since we were still waiting on our sister to arrive and she was about 30 minutes behind us. My sister arrived and we waited 1.5 hour after she arrived to be seated. We were a big group 14 total so even then we didn’t complain because we figured that’s why even though that wasn’t our experience last time with the same number of people. After we were seated we waited 2 hours to get our food. Total of 4 hours just to be seated and get served. Even with all that the food did not seem fresh. Some of our orders were wrong. After 2 hours i did get up to speak to the manager and he just didn’t know how to respond to our issues. Once we received our food he did come over to the table and gave us coupons for a free entree for the next time we eat there but number 1 the restaurant is an hour away from our house so the odds of us going back based on the service and quality is very low. Like i said the people were pleasant the entire time so with that i have no complaints but overall it was a 1 star experience.

Food was good as usual, but the service kinda sucked. So her 1) when we ordered 2) when she brought the food 3) when she brought the check. Had to ask another waitress for condiments and drinks.
CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE LEAVING!!!I ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS IN 1 BAG...YES.......that was a lie!!Ordered 4 meals & 4 strawberry shortcakesWas given 1 meal & 4 strawberry shortcake WITHOUT the ice cream!!Employee stated, they do not give ice cream with the strawberry shortcakes to go, because of the time it takes to pick up. However, if pick up directions and everything was correct then it wouldn't melt. It was hard to hear anything. Our waiter was nice, but didn’t hear us well. I got the grill chicken salad. The chicken was badly seasoned. Salad was good overall.
ALL THE WAY FROM NYC I CAME TO MY FAVORITE BREAKFAST RESTAURANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY..FOOD WAS TASTY AND THE WAITRESS WAS ADORABLE I FELT SO SPECIAL ESPECIALLY SINCE IT WAS MY BDAY .
