This used to be the go-to place for my husband and I. Since the new ownership, two years ago, the quality has gone seriously downhill, despite what Barstool Reviews might say.I can’t speak for the pizza. Bar pies have never been my thing. But the other dish they were known for, the open-faced sliced steak sandwich is but a shadow of its former self. The bread was too thick and dry (even without being toasted as it should have been), and the melted butter which used to bring the whole dish together was barely there. I think the cook might have said the words “melted butter” as he plated my dish, and figured that would be enough, and the meat was room temperature.The cocktails were delicious, our waitperson was great, the blue cheese came straight out of a bottle with no chunks of blue cheese which made it so delicious in the past. The cake roll for dessert, which I shared with my husband, was half the size and almost twice the price of what it used to be.We spent, before cocktails are added in, $50 on a seriously substandard meal.
Awesome old school vibe, feels like you're stepping back into the 1960's. Delicious old school thin crust pizza. Always had great and very attentive service. They really take pride in everything they do.
Went to lidos for dinner with my two friends and was blown away by how good the service was. Jill was amazing. The food was as expected, awesome. Can't wait to go back.
First and last time ordering from here!!! The crust was white pizza taste gross!! The garlic bread looked like the cut a quarter of bread n sliced in 5 pieces and reheated it from the night before the wings were decent and they are over priced!! Quick check buttered rolls taste better than the garlic bread I’m so disappointed
We came here for dinner and really enjoyed everything. Loved how private the booths are. Seemed very clean as well. Everyone there was super nice and our server was also very quick and attentive. Our drinks and food came out very quickly. Pizza and appetizers were delicious. My only issue was that the pizza was way too greasy. So much oil dripped off, I had to keep using napkins to remove as much as I could but there was an incredible amount of it. Other than that, really liked everything and will definitely be back, hopefully the pizza will be less greasy and it was just a one time thing. I will update then.
The place felt like you were walking back into time. The food and service was top notch.. will be back!
This place sucks. Got a large steak sandwich to go. Got home opened it up. And to my suprise was like six thinly sliced pieces of steak and a dozen fries. No thank you. Never again
I feel silly for sleeping on this place for so long! The pizza is thin crust and very tasty. Cute old school atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be coming back or grabbing some take out.
As a local I have been going to this place for 25 years. They used to have 2 locations - Lido II in a town called new Milford. Literally loved right down the street from them. There is only 2 things I go to this place for - Double sliced steak and pizza. I indulge big time, worth every bite. I am sure there are the items on the menu that are really well, just not interested in trying them! ?
Pizza was very good, but the big surprise for me was how great the fries and burger were. Service was awesome, fast and very friendly. This is one of the best "old-school joints" in NJ.
