Love the aesthetic and vibe here. So many planted based and vegan options. Great iced coffee too.
The food here is great and my review isn’t about that. This is about the customer experience. This location stopped taking cash a while ago. They won’t even take your order in the store even if your paying with credit card. They now want you to order on your phone even if your in the restaurant. That’s completely absurd. I saw 2 older women struggle with this and none of the employees bothered to help. They almost left until I helped them. On top of this, if you ordered online and wanted to call someone at the store, there is no phone number. Management you couldn’t disconnect yourself anymore from your customers. I used to frequently order from from here, but not so much.
Used to be one of my favorite small food spots. Loved their “Drunken Ronni” pizza and the goat salad but I’ve given this establishment my last try. The pizza isn’t fresh a doesn’t have the same ingredients ( how is it a drunken pizza if it doesn’t have vodka sauce). The food is delivered cold.
We’ve gotten food from Bite before and have never had any issues until today. We ordered two cobb salads for a 12:50 pm pickup and had to wait until 1:24 pm to finally get the food. It seemed like things were busy so I was okay waiting. However, when we got home and opened our salads, it was extremely upsetting and disappointing. My boyfriend’s salad had eggs with the membrane still on and there were eggshells in his salad. Additionally, for having paid $25.59 for two salads, the portions were absolutely unacceptable. Both salads looked like they were half eaten (mine pictured below). Will not be returning here again.
Oh my goodness! I have never tasted something so quietly delicate and full of bold perfect flavor at the same time! The vegan tacos were absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious! This was my first visit but certainly won’t be my last! I am thoroughly impressed!
We order from Bite religiously, especially the Shroom Shroom pizza. We have ordered at least 8 times, this very pizza. Last 2 orders for lunch we were disappointed to find that the size of the pizzas have become half the size and not because they did not roll it thin. In addition the truffle oil was also non existent on the 2 pizzas today. And the prices went up this week too! Uber eats was $16.00 for each pizza and look at what we got.We also ordered the warm salad Chickpea bowl today and that was wonderful so I am giving 3 stars.
I had the Buff Chick Grilled Cheese, which I thought was very tasty. The juxtaposition of the cheese and hot sauce works well and the bread was crispy. I paired these with the house chips and the meal was complete. The restaurant is located in that building next to HUMC with that awful parking lot. The main reason for 4 stars is because if I see that parking lot full I just drive on by. The service was decent and the place certainly followed all the proper Covid rules considering their location next to the hospital. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it.
I eat here very often. The menu is very unique and the food items are of great quality. Everything is extremely flavorful, as always. A wide variety of menu items, from comfort foods to vegan options. They offer breakfast and lunch/ brunch type foods as well as pizza. Don’t forget about their coffees and shakes!The interior is beautiful and the ambiance gives off a city-esque vibe. Definitely a change of scenery compared to the bland and lifeless buildings that surround the rest of Hackensack. Location is great, however I can guarantee Starbucks next door takes some business away from their cafe. The only thing I wish they would improve on is their prices, but considering the rent they probably pay for the space, it makes sense.

When I started ordering from the company it was delicious, hot and well prepared. Now I cannot say that.I have ordered a chicken parm sandwich and it was BURNT DRY and the bun was hard. The sauce was limited as well as the cheese. I will not mention the lack of lettuce.I decided to give the another chance and it was WORSE. The sandwich was cold, BURNT to a crisp, DRIED out, a DROP of sauce and not even a quarter piece of cheese. The bun, well I will leave it alone. Just glad my teeth are strong. The chicken looked old and reheated.I was so disappointed again and I will not be patronizing anymore.What a huge difference from when they first opened.They are too comfortable right now.I cannot rate Bite Food and Coffee because there is not rating for them! The received 1 star because I was not able to post until I selected a star rating.
