MY RESPONSE to the owners: I'm sorry that you thought I was being unfair with my review. I am at the top google guides for food in New York City and I have work in the hospitality industry for 30 years. When we arrived just after 3 o'clock, yesterday, Palm Sunday, there was no one in your café except for one customer who was sleeping in the corner. The shelves were still very well-stocked. I have the photos to prove that there were plenty of items for sale.If you look through my many reviews and photos you'll see that I eat in a lot of bakeries around the country including Fabrique and La Cabra, both Swedish themed bakeries in the city. I am personal friends with Hakan Martensson, who was the Head chocolatier from the Fika chain which unfortunately closed in New York. I was a huge fan and supporter of those businesses. I am also a a highly skilled cook and caterer. So please don't insult me by saying I don't know when pastry seems not fresh. I shared these pastries with an 88 year old who complained about the lack of crispness of the danish as well. She specifically asked me to bring her key lime pie. I was excited that you had one for me to bring her. She was very disappointed by yours. We didn't even finish it. That is our experience.I'm sorry, dairy-free whipped cream is categorically not real whipped cream by virtue of the actual name.MY ORIGINAL REVIEWI heard about this spot and made a special trip there on our last visit to New Jersey. The woman who is working there was very charming and they had a mouth-watering looking selection of goodies.I was concerned because it looked there was a lot of pastries leftover for late in the day on a Sunday. I'm not sure they move quickly enough and the ones that we took out tasted like they've been hanging around for a while. The best one was the princess cake. It had cellophane covering the sides so it didn't get refrigerator taste. The ingredients were not the highest quality -- the kind used to insure a longer shelf life like fake whipped cream, but it was enjoyable. The raspberry and cheese danish was okay. The pastry on the blueberry danish was not crisp at all and tasted like the refrigerator. The key lime tart tasted nothing like key lime. It tasted more like weak lemon meringue.
Finally found a great coffee house in Bergen county.Awesome coffee & baked goods to choose from .Great coffee house vibes. The barista was super nice and very helpful.Keep up the great work!!
Coffee is amazing. Avocado toast and raspberry danish are my favorites ?
This was my first time visiting this establishment and it will be my last. Allow this place is very quant and cute. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese for $3.55. The bagel tasted like something I would have gotten a dunkin for less and it would've been better than that. I was also told that they were of chai and matcha lattes.. The cashier also informed me that they offer free coffee on Mondays but I don't drink coffee so I asked if I could get tea instead and I was told no.
Best bakery ever. So many options and a taste of home. I’ve ordered cakes a couple of times and I’ve been very satisfied. Everything else I’ve tried is so good.
Wonderful staff. Went above and beyond to help us. Food is amazing!
