The service is what gave this place four stars. We ordered a variety of things from the menu. The cheese curds were good but I was not a fan of the sauce.The server recommended that I try the garlic flat bread. It would’ve been great except that it was super salty. She removed it from the check and I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup. The grilled cheese was greasy and an average grilled cheese. The tomato soup was excellent. In fact I got some to go home.I ordered coffee and a red velvet brownie for dessert. The coffee was super strong yet fresh. The brownie was burnt and dried out…it was inedible. Again, the server had to remove it from the check. I had some of my husbands ice cream sandwiches which were excellent.Bottom line…the food was hit or miss. The server was very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was good. We will return when we are in the area.
Good food. Irritating nickel and dime checkout process. Their new terrible business practice:All credit card charges now incur a additional 2.95% transaction fee (but not if you pay cash). Raise prices, don’t alienate your customers (or flip it and offer a discount for cash to avoid the negative psychological connotation of an addl fee). An additional fee for convenience looks bad and leaves a sour taste in customers mouths - one they’ll remember if and when they decide to come back.
I went there twice in one week and the food was outstanding each time. The sushi is very fresh, we got ours as a starter. It was a little expensive but I thought worth it to be able to order sandwiches and pizza after. Second time we ordered lobster tacos off the summer specials menu to share as an appetizer but forgot to take pictures.Specialty drinks were so-so (jalapeño watermelon margarita left us desiring a bit more flavor, alcohol, and drink size in general) but our waiter was very knowledgeable about what was on tap to pair with our meals and let me sample a mango fruit beer because I didnt think i'd like it but wanted to try something new. (It was really good).There is extra seating around the bar, outdoor seating, and a combination of booths, bar height tables, and regular tables. The bathrooms are very clean. You can sign up for a rewards card too!
Mothers Day 2022. Short wait for table. Had the pulled pork Mac n cheese and chicken pizza. Everyone was so nice and it was a great place to celebrate time with the Mrs and my daughter with her mom.
Food is amazing, as always, and staff is friendly and never rude, always accommodating. Shared 4 plates with my s/o, so yea, food was delicious
Pork Nachos are outrageous and anything the waitress recommends. Our waitress Electra was amazing. Everything she recommended from drinks to food was spot on!
Tavern dip and cali burger fantastic… well worth the price. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back!
Being a European in the USA, I really miss places that have cozy modern space. This place is pretty, I liked it. We went at about 2pm and it was quite full but we were still given a table, no waiting. It is quite big inside. Food was great. We ordered two types of ribs (Asian and BBQ) and both were delicious. The Buffalo Chicken salad I had was the best I’ve tried since in USA. I finally tried fried pickles, and liked them too. The waiters were super fast, polite and very sweet.
We actually went to the new location in Edison it was excellent great food great service now we don’t have to travel to freehold anymore
The vibe here is nice, and it is always busy. We were in the enclosed tent. Food was good but not great. I have had better Cuban sandwiches. Prices are high, you really did not get much for the high cost for a sandwich.
