I got blueberry, guava, and Vietnamese coffee mochi donuts from this small shop next to the fresh H-Mart in Fort Lee. Out of the three flavors, guava was my favorite, and coffee was my least favorite. The donuts were mochi chewy and not extremely sweet, which I liked. The shop had a variety of flavors for mochi donuts to select from. They also had cakes, pastries, bread, bubble tea, and Korean hot dogs. I also grabbed a chocolate croissant and it was okay, nothing special. I won't go here to just get a croissant but if I'm at the store to get donuts, I may get a croissant or try something else.
This was my first time at Mochinut and they did not disappoint. When you first walk in you are slapped in the face with this beautiful aroma of donuts. I mean if you weren't hungry, you are now! The case shows 8 freshly baked Mochi donuts in different flavors that change throughout the day. There are 12 different rice hotdog types. 6 types of Boba & Milk Teas are available. The friendly staff welcomes you immediately upon entering. There are about 5 tables that seat 4 people each for dine in enjoyment.I had the strawberries and cream mochi donut, potato & mozzarella rice hotdog and Brown Sugar Boba Tea. The rice hotdog was so good I got a second original to go.The strawberries and cream mochi donut was so tasty. Not overly sweet and nice and airy dough. I liked that you could pull apart sections to eat it or share it, but you really wouldn't want to share it. The rice hotdog is made in the donut dough with some sugar on it, the potato is pieces of french fries stuck to the outside and the inside is this well melted stringy mozzarella cheese. The potato mozzarella does not have any hot dog in it. Just delicious! The original was the dough with some sugar on it and the hotdog inside. So darn good! The hot dog is very tasty and the side of mustard complimented it well.Brown sugar boba tea was fresh and yummy! So good that I almost finished it in 3 sips!Everything about this visit was great! I would definitely return! Thank you Yelp Elite Team for introducing this place to me! It's a new fave of something a bit different!
Nice little place. The lady is super friendly. She didn't have all the flavors out so she made a few to order for me. Really appreciate it...
Small cute location with endless variety of mochinut flavor options to satisfy anyone's taste buds. The mochinuts were super fresh, great crispy and chewy bite, with a soft and airy inside. In addition, they have various drink options as well. Would highly recommend and come back again to try all of the other flavors.
I've been seeing pictures of these snazzy looking donuts for a few weeks now and thought it best to investigate the situation this past Friday. I was already in the area for lunch at Hiram's Roadstand and noticed this particular Mochinut location was only a few blocks away from that. The street it's on almost feels like a back street rather than a main street, if that makes sense - in the immediate vicinity, there's a lot of apartments and backs of businesses versus storefronts. I parked just across the street, which at that time of day was metered. I suspect it wouldn't have been too difficult to locate free spots, but I'm not particularly interested in reconnaissance missions when it's below 20 degrees out. RIP quarter. Anyway.I can't speak for the other locations, but this Mochinut seems to exclusively handle to-go orders - it's a bit cramped in there (and there were two other customers who came in before me) with no seating options. Based on the display area, the donuts are the stars but they also have what looked to be other Korean-style food options, notably corndog variations. Since I was in the early stages of digesting two chili weenies, I went straight for the donuts. There were probably 20 options or so (definitely more than you'd get at, say, a Dunkin Donuts), ranging from chocolate-y flavors to fruity, and a bunch in-between. I have a weak spot for the recent cultural emergence of Fruity Pebbles as a viable topping on everything, so I ordered two Fruity Pebbles donuts, one with a more vanilla topping and one with a more strawberry topping. I was also intrigued by the concept of a pineapple guava flavor, so I snagged that as well. They had a 3 for roughly $9 deal, so these are a little pricier than mainstream donuts. My favorite turned out to be the pineapple guava. It was a unique taste, kind of zesty, sweet and tart at the same time. The Fruity Pebbles ones were good too, but a more predictable flavor. The texture is really interesting - because they're using a rice cake flour, it's definitely lighter and chewier than a typical donut. I ended up eating all three at once and didn't feel disgusting afterwards. I'd probably be sugar crash-catatonic on my recliner for a few hours if I had binged that quantity at a Dunkin.Definitely a recommend, especially if one of these locations isn't out of the way for you. Based on my review of the website, it looks like they're dramatically expanding locations particularly in the Bergen County area so you may stumble across a Mochinut without even trying pretty soon.
If you love funnel cake from the carnival, these donuts have that same exact taste! I’m sure the coffees are great, service was opposite of friendly, wouldn’t keep me from trying more flavors though!
A one of a kind cafe. Definitely would love to come back but everything tasted very sugary. A nice treat for one of those days. There was an enormous selection of mochi donuts to choose from (more than Dunkin’ or Krispy Kreme). We sampled a strawberry pebble with a green tea bubble tea. The corn dog was bigger then we were expecting but absolutely delicious. The price seemed a bit much but everything is made on site. It took about 10 minutes for our hotdog to be prepared. There’s also a small bread selection and cakes you can buy whole or by the slice.
Used to come here for the Dupan bakery and they still have a lot of the breads and pastry offerings. They added mochi doughnuts and Korean corn dogs and they are absolutely delicious! Lots of different doughnuts flavors to choose from and kind of pricey but worth trying!
Korean corn dog and Mochinuts were amazing! The dog took 10 minutes to cook (keep in mind) but was amazing. Got two donuts and the dog for $10! The coffee boba was also great and the packing was so cute. Nowhere to sit inside or outside the small place, but everything is packaged very to-go-friendly!!
Best donuts ever!! The taro and banana are a must to have. I really enjoyed their Ube milk tea..had the perfect amount of sweetness.
