This is definitely a one time place. Now I know I really should pay attention to negative reviews. They are there for reasons. No one patronizes an establishment intending to give a bad review, they do it with expectation of great experience of their product or services. Having said that, I even let them know I am new to the area and this is my first time ordering. Maybe I should have lowered my expectations? I have never had "Delux Sushi" consisting of only four types fish. Typical of tuna, salmon and two white fish of rather low grade. Usually expect to see eels, shrimp, squid if not more but was I wrong! Oh, one thing that turned me off even more was the fish was warm to touch. Simply put, this was not worth the container it was placed in. A one time place indeed.Dispointed......
This is my go-to sushi spot now. Not only is the food impeccable, the service is also top notch. The sushi chef studied Japanese cuisine and knows a lot about sushi so you can expect the best quality sushi. If you order, get the platters! You will have to try all of the chef’s selections.
This take out only sushi place is a hidden gem!Quality sushi, it is always fresh and rolls are delicious!Sushi roll platter is always my go to, Kani salad and spicy chirashi is yummy too!
Let me tell you first by saying that there are A LOT of sushi places in Fort Lee, and we have our favorite one PJ sushi, but after reading reviews we decided to try something new. This place had nice pictures and we diced to order for 4 people the choices we usually get at our regular place. What we received was 3 times less in amount and it was not even enough to feed 4 people. My family was very disappointed and hungry after the meal. I understand prices on everything went up but everything goes by comparison. We could barely observe any fish in our rolls, including special rolls. Mostly rice and some veggies. They charge 1$ more for spicy choice which is a little tiny drop of spicy mayo. We will not coming back and do the business. Good luck. There are a lot of competition here.
This place is amazing! Ordered a medium sushi and roll party platter for my birthday. It was enough for 3 people. So fresh and delicious! Don’t think I’ve ever had better sushi. Staff was polite on the phone and very nice in person. Can’t wait to try the other dishes. I’ll be coming back for sure!
Literally the worst customer service and deceitful tactics for subpar food. I called on a Saturday night to order a medium sushi and roll platter($75)and immediately was greeted by a very rude woman (hostess). She would not disclose what fish they use for the chef’s choice and instead of attempting to ask the chef what the fish would be for today to accommodate food sensitivities, she told me that it was really busy and she won’t ask. She then proceeded to put me on hold for 10 minutes (put the phone down) and was talking in the background, only to hang up. I called back and she then took my order, clearly disgruntled by my question, but reassured me that the chef’s choice for sushi rolls will be amazing and the fresh picks of the day. When we picked up the food, we realized they had given us a California roll for one of the rolls- this was supposedly the chef’s choice. I called back since paying $75 for 30 small pieces of sushi and 3 rolls, one being a California roll, was not justifiable given our earlier conversation on the phone. Upon asking about this, I was yelled at and berated by the same woman, who proceeded to tell me that this is what they give in the platters all the time and “no one has complained so far”. Obviously this is a new establishment because this would not pass for those who expect sushi in an area with many sushi restaurants (at the very least a tuna or salmon roll) as chef’s choice. She then barked at me asking am I not going to eat the California roll or what and ‘what do I want, why are you calling again’, never letting me speak and raising her voice over me. I stayed on the phone- in silence and disbelief. I will not order from this restaurant again as they think berating customers is okay and are intolerant of any questions. God forbid we had a serious allergy- they would not even lend an ear. Save yourself the poor experience and order elsewhere for better fish unless you want a california roll.
i love sushi platter here but the lady ( the teenager?)on the phone is very rude & unprofessional. i love how chef always greet when i go there pick it up but they need to train their staffs professionally if they want to grow their business.
Budget friendly but no compromises in quality sushi place in Fort Lee. The interior has quite a room for seats but currently this place offers pick-ups only. Strongly recommend party platters.
Very good sushi take-out. I have been here several times for the past few months and I am never disappointed. I always choose one of the platter options when I am hosting family and friends and they love it as well. They have a few seats for outdoor dining. Please try this place if you want good sushi and in the area.
I had a small size of sushi and sashimi. All of fishes was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place. The restaurant owner worked as a Japanese chef for a long time at Hyatt hotels in Japan and Korea, so other foods in the restaurant are delicious.
