The food and the service are both fabulous!
Visited the restaurant for dinner April 30th with my wife and son. We were turned away by the restaurant citing no availability and a shorthanded kitchen. We thought it was quite odd they made no attempt to accommodate ... not even offering a wait list. We've been wanting to try Dolce for 3 years ... since we moved to Flemington. I don't think we will try again. You only get one chance to make a first impression.
I chose the crab cake appetizer and it was delicious. For the entree I had the chicken parmigiana with linguini---it was perfect. The dessert was country apple pie. Again so very tasty.The food was delicious and the service was just fine. What a wonderful place for a wonderful meal. You must dine here......you will be so glad you did.
It's all about the food and it is generally quite good. The grilled octopus was excellent as was the branzino. My Caesar salad had a fresh light dressing but it was a bit too tart. The veal fungi was excellent but it was accompanied by bland mashed potatoes and equally bland steamed broccoli and carrots. The cheese cake was moist and tasty. I recommend to NOT go there on a weekend unless you don't want to be able to have a conversation with the person next to you let along across the table. As to the service, it was good and friendly. However the wait staff should be trained how to take an order such that they know who gets which dish without having to ask.
Excellent food and BYOB. Try the veal entrees, they are excellent!
Had some excellent Italian food. Service was very good.
HAD A RESERVATION. Got to the restaurant on time and stood by the doorway For 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledge us as they walked by.Was told they needed a few minutes Which is understandable. However 10 minutes later, with tables open, we were still standing there being ignored. Instead of at least seating us after having a reservation and standing waiting there for 15 minutes they continue to walk by us.We ended up walking out and having a great Italian meal somewhere else.
Still great. We only order off the specials menu anymore because we've tried everything else, but everything is always fresh and well seasoned.Filet great, bronzino, excellent, kids all had great meals too!!They accommodate our family of seven and our different asks, haha.

Really nice restaurant. Its clean and staff is super friendly and attentive. Food is delicious. Will definitely return.
