Since I was a child in the Bronx, my favorite cake was a marble round. A very specific tasting chocolate frosting over a round marble cake. After I moved to NJ, Sherbloom's bakery in the Bronx burned down. I had years of no marble round. I visited a cousin in Brooklyn, and she had one for dessert. Amazing! Tasted just right. Went to Brooklyn.. a 2.5-3 hr rnd trip for several yrs...then I found Zadies. 10 minutes from home, and the same fabulous flavor. I've been ordering the marble round for my birthday for the past 110 yrs, exclusively from Zadies. It's the only food I buy there, and it's always perfect.
The best rye bread in the area. If you want really good Jewish rye bread then this is the place to go. The cakes look great . The black & white cookies r also good. Friendly staff too.
Very disappointed, loved this bakery so much, shame to be called kosher bakery. You have to be more careful with baking, hair inside
Good qualityClean storeDelicious cakes.Friendly staff
The owners are in a union so they can get all the benefits like insurance but not the employees! Isn't supposed to be the other way around?
Customer service and patience is outstanding and the treats and challah are INCREDIBLE. Wish I lived closer, I would be here daily. The chocolate cheese danish is my reason for living
Nothing there has been a disappointment. Delicious baked goods always fresh.
Fantastic bakery. Delicious challah and fresh desserts.
The outside bakery sign should be bigger for a better view. Despite it being a small bakery I like the items sold. It was great to see small size pies which is usually not the norm in bakeries. The young Latina woman who assisted me was very amicable and pleasant.
I purchase Zadie's Onion Rye Bread at the Paramus Shoprite, it's fantastic. Very disappointing when it's occasionally out of stock. Going to have to check out the other varieties...
