Nice romantic dinner, for our Anniversary, delicious food and the servers where very attentive and prompt with our menu request.

We had the most enjoyable evening. We kinda decided last minute to go and thank God we did. From beginning to end it was perfect. Food and Staff 5 star will definitely be back.
Our family was together for the first time ever (new baby, new wife) and we decided to celebrate at the most special place in North Jersey without a single disappointment. The service was impeccable and the food perfectly prepared. From the calamari, slab bacon, special fried artichoke hearts, t-bones, strips, rack of lamb and tuna, mashed, French fries(I’m not normally a fan, but these were extraordinary), and creamed spinach, everybody enjoyed what s/he ordered. Topped it all off with lava cake and the brownie (though we as longtime Bergen residents didn’t miss the “Kitchen Sink” homage to Jahns, which was the original tenant in that spot).

Refreshing and delicious Skinny Margarita! Appetizing creamy spinach and mashed potatoes. Delicious mouthwatering Porter House steak! It’s well done outside but medium rare inside just the way we like it.
Recently had a retirement dinner At the River Palm for a friend that was great - except for the food. The “special” appetizer, fried artichoke hearts, was tiny and tasteless. Breaded, soggy mess with no flavor. The reason we chose the restaurant was it’s reputation as steakhouse. Two of us split the “prime porter house steak for two” ordered medium rare. What came out was more like well done. The steak itself was exceptionally chewy and poorly sliced. My pecan pie dessert was gooey mess that had fallen apart before it arrived. At the prices charged, the meal was overpriced and poorly cooked. Having regularly eaten in many great steak houses in NY and other places in NJ, I know what a good kitchen can produce. This wasn’t even close. Worried that I might be overly critical, I spoke with my steak partner. Without indicating my opinion first, he offered much the same thoughts except that he was more disappointed in the steak than me.
I constantly arrive purchasing some food in this spot. I enjoyed the speedy service and well prepared dishes. Fantastic work.
You can get a consistent meak gere but the last 3 visits have been uneventful at best
great service and an outstanding steak. what more can u ask for
