I have been to Sophia's before and each time the food and service has been good. However, I went back on Saturday August 6, 2022 with friends and we ordered two 1.5lb lobster that was listed as $59 on the menu, but when the bill came we were charged over $400 dollars. We noted that we were charged $78 dollars for each lobster and when we asked the manager why the higher price, she informed us they were out of the 1.5lb lobsters and we were given two 2lb lobsters. Our server Mark Anthony otherwise wonderful never informed us that they were out of the $59 lobsters to give us the opportunity to either agree to the higher price or change to another dish. There was no apology from the manager, she just said our server should have told us. I do not believe this is a good business practice but just letting folks know to be careful of this underhanded practice. The restaurant was expensive enough they must inform patrons when items are out and give the patron the opportunity to agree to a higher priced meal or select something else. They would have received 5 stars but not with this type of conduct. Be mindful this could happen to you!

Great food, great service, great vibe. My only problem is the size of the tables. You offer seafood towers and huge steaks and sit me at a cocktail table.
When they want to clear the table before you are finished is very annoying. PS: Overpriced $12 for one shrimp!!!

Food is good and portions also good. Service started out great but once our food came we never saw our waiter again. Steak was over cooked (ordered medium) came more well done little to no pink in the center. Went out for a date night which doesnât happen too often would liked a better experience.

Outside smelled like garbage dumpster. The inside was crammed, noisy. The food was overpriced and just mediocre. Very disappointed.
