I don't understand why this place has such a high rating. I got fooled by the place decoration and cakes on display. My cup of coffee was dirty, the steak I ordered was so overpriced so bad that it was dry and had no flavor. I ordered medium and got well done. Orange juice was disgusting. This place makes Dennys look like a 5 star restaurant. I still tipped 20% for the overpriced food, but I'm not going back again. Feel bad for the staff for serving such low quality overpriced food.

There was a beetle found in the salad I ordered , super disgusted by this. If I wanted a bug salad I would’ve ordered it from a two star restaurant but from this place is unacceptable
Lifelong resident of Elizabeth and Trops is a staple however their quality has declined over the years. Food is average at best. I’ve ordered delivery before and the food is always cold or soggy so today I decide to go pick up. I ordered the Tropicana wrap and the lettuce was completely wilted it looked like boiled cabbage. I am disgusted and appalled that they would package food like this and would risk making people sick. I did not eat my lunch and threw out the rest of the food. Won’t be coming back anytime soon :(
The portions are great but the flavors weren't there all the fried food tasted like burnt charcoal and the rice was undercooked overall I don't think I will go back
Today I ordered a meal with my boss. When my meal arrived there was paper in my burger. My boss took a photo and asked for the money back plus the food was cold on arrival. My boss took a photo and sent it to them.Tropicana offered me another meal and did not want to return the money. EXCUSE me Tropicana why would I want to wait another 45 min which my lunch is over by then. It just would of got colder. In addition why risk another paper in my food. Good customer service would of returned the money. I will never order from here again.
Only giving 3 stars because the service from Tommy and staff was outstanding. However, I’ve been buying pies of cheesecake from this place for the past 12 years for a reason. It was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Now that the old baker is gone, it taste like pure cream cheese, not even close. Where are you old baker????????????
Absolutely amazing food at the diner. Highly recommend it for all ages. Deserts to die for too. Plus the staff did an excellent job taking great care of it. We will for sure visit again. If your in the area make this a place for a bite. But go hungry as portions are huge.
Friendly staff and awesome latin food amongst the variety of dishes. Dined in twice on my vacation. Plates are huge. Great place.
