You’re likely in the passenger seat on Route 47 on your way home from Wildwood. You’re hangry becuse the driver next to you is in a hurry and wouldn’t stop for a bite OR because your hangover is still hanging. Either way, you should have stopped here. The Maurice River Diner is a legitimate NJ diner manifested as a culinary oasis in the Cumberland County tidal marshes. Breakfast✅ Daily specials✅ Great Greek food✅ Don’t expect five star service but do expect a solid menu of family favorite foods! Add this spot to your next trip down the shore (coming or going)!

We stopped here on our way back to the Shore from Philadelphia airport, in the very early morning. We were seated right away, as it was so early. Menu and food was what you would expect from a diner. There were large portions, good, basic food. Our waitress had a sense of humor and a wonderful "snarky" diner attitude, which we REALLY loved. (Some people might not "get it.") She was attentive, and made us laugh. In fact, we would go back just to have her wait on us again! This place is a classic example of an old NJ diner!

Had lunch here today waitress never checked needed more drinks napkins and sodas ignored us but not newer customers will go to other restaurants in the future ????

Fantastic restaurant on the way home from Cape May. Wonderful wait staff. Clean and beautiful interior. Food was delicious, plentiful, and priced right. We had a large party and they seated us within 10 minutes of arrival. Everyone should stop at this diner. You won’t regret it!

We used to get a good meal here. The service is still good, but the value has suffered. The portion size seems to have decreased and the food doesn't taste as good. This may be because our omelettes were all overcooked.

My husband and I chose to go to his favorite diner to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary, Maurice River Diner. We have always been happy with their food and service, until tonight. The food was, as always, delicious. However, while eating my entree I discovered a hair in my dish so we told the waitress. She told me she would get me another plate. Prior to that issue, she was pleasant and friendly, but everything changed after that. I ate some more of my meal and was actually still eating when she came to the table with the take out boxes and a bag. That was it. Time to go i guess, even though we handled the situation quietly. We were not offered coffee or dessert, just the take out boxes and the check. My husband and I have worked in a restaurant and I know that is not how you treat your customers. I am so disappointed because it really wasn't a big deal, stuff happens, but to get basically told your visit is over in this manner makes me 100% I will never return.

We have passed this diner so many times on our way to the beach! Today we finally stopped for breakfast! It was very good! The blueberry pancakes were amazing! They use local blueberries and I love that! Our waitress was great! We will definitely go back!!

We stopped by in the pouring rain for breakfast on our way home to PA. They were definitely making the best out of a bad situation. The staff was soaked but had a great attitude. My daughter ordered the Nutella pancakes which were delicious but rich. The Taylor pork roll with cheese was a big sandwich and did not disappoint. The potatoes were a generous portion and the turkey sausage was fantastic, not rubbery at all. The only thing we did not like was the brown gravy, it looked like there was tomato sauce mixed in with it. Overall though it was a great stop on the side of the road, would visit again

Huge portions! Agree that food, service and value are all good, however the quantity is great. Had the meatloaf special and it turned out to be three meals. Mashed potatoes are instant and could have been better but everything else was good including the breads, salad and pudding.
