We were on the area and was hungry so we looked for some place to eat. The map said Guyanese food. Something different for us to try!Curry Fried Rice with Salt FishOxtail with Rice and PeasLove the curry fried rice wow never thought to add curry to fried rice what a great combo!Oxtail was different than Jamaican's but still good.There's only 2 tables. More of a local take out joint. If you are coming from far go during off hours so you can dine in.
I came in for lunch, got the jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains and mac salad. Everything was very flavorful and delicious! The chicken was very tender and perfectly seasoned. I loved everything about the place and folks were really nice too! Will definitely come back, thank you!

My wife and I were headed home on I95 North after leaving Six Flags Great Adventure. We needed gasoline so we had to exit in Newark. While filling up we decided to check the area to eat, and found Guyanese Treats.We were greeted by Mandy's warm demeanor and bright smile, she's so nice. We ordered Guyanese fried rice, with Saltfish, Oxtails with Rice & Peas, both dinners came with fried sweet plantains. The Oxtail was so full of flavor and tender, the Saltfish was perfect: not too salty nor bland, the fried rice was delicious. Donna is the chef and she did an exceptional job!The ladies here are grand and very amiable. We found a new place to eat Caribbean delights and to enjoy!

Best oxtail that I have tasted in a long time, very authentic if you're craving for some Jamaican food this the spot to go to, highly recommended
