Excellent spot for Haitian cuisine. Beef Legume was amazing. Paired deliciously with the rice and sweet plantains. And of course the Pikliz which is always a must. The Akra for an appetizer was an excellent choice.I will admit the prices are a bit high depending on the entree of choice & the protein, but the flavor makes up for it.We did also have to wait a bit for the food to come out.Overall excellent food, would love to return.

First Republic Lounge & Restaurant is my go to spot for Haitian food when in Elizabeth. I love the food and the atmosphere. After 11p, one can stay and dance or just enjoy the vibe.

My cousin and I have gone to one of the best Haitian restaurants in the tri-state(NY,NJ,& CT), First Republic Lounge & Restaurant on April 16,2022. Our waiter (recommended our drinks) & service was great. The food was amazing,(not to greasy and or oily). The drinks were okay(I thought it would have been strong). It was kinda pricey (in my opinion) but it was worth every penny. Great service, will always get a great tip from me. It wasn’t my first time there and it won’t be my last time. I highly recommend you go there.

They are a hit or a miss. 70% a hit and 30% a miss. I went there last Friday. For appetizer, I ordered their goat fritay and that was pretty good. For my entree I ordered the red snapper with black rice. They gave me a side sauce for my black rice and it was straight tomato paste and water. I complained and return it back. Normally I don’t eat any food from a restaurant after I make a complaint but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. The sauce that came out was better, not great but ok. I also ordered their Haitian style Mac and cheese to go for my wife. I started having diarrhea through the night and lasted until Saturday afternoon. The last time I ate on Friday before their food was around noon time. So I know whatever they brought me back was probably from that sauce after I made a complaint. When my wife ate their Haitian style Mac and cheese, she also said it upsets her stomach too. I really want Haitian businesses to succeed but you all act the same when your customers unhappy with their orders and want to return it, and that’s not right. If that was my first time eating there, I would would of rate your restaurant 1 star and never come back. I’m only giving you 3 stars because your used to be really good most of the time in the past, but lately in the last 3-6 months, not so great. If your have different chefs that’s ruin it, then your need to let them go.

Food was good, very flavorful. Prices are a little high but good Happy Hr pricing. Service was ok.

Great Haitian restaurant. The food is great and the drinks and good as well. The music is on point when I went on a Friday night.

1st Friday's each month is Kizomba night, which I absolutely love. The only downfall there just seems to be more kompa then anything, but overall it's lit.

Food is good. Dj is good as well. It really depends on the vibe of the people there. I've been there when it was Poppin and when it was more chill. The owner is very nice and will take time to speak and even dance with you. Overall it's a nice venue to have a birthday party, date night, or hangout with friends.

Food and service was great . Nice clean place with good music!!

Food was great.... the Saturday night bartender needs some work with her customer service skills ...
