Its empty parking lot stopped me from going to this restaurant for a long time but finally I decided to give it a try after seeing many positive reviews. The interior of the restaurant is pretty new and clean. Friendly staff and good service. We liked the spicy pot (many choices of meats and veggies to select from and cook all together). We chose a mild spicy level and it tasted pretty hot to me. I recommend the mild spicy level if you are trying an authentic Sichuan spicy dish for the first time. Its spicy hot level is no joke. Our dishes, very generous portion. We are going back again for sure. Recommend.

Parking lot of an unremarkable gray one-story house on a side of a local highway was almost empty. The sign said Grill Fish, Open for to Go, and something in Chinese. The building was one of those you drive by and think who on Earth would would ever go there.Inside, it was another story. Soft light, muffled sound, wooden accents, generous spacing between tables, booths along the walls. Clean. And the menu: make-your-own dry pots with dozens of ingredients to choose from, whole-grilled-fish pots with pick-your-flavor options. Four different heat levels to choose from. List of preset dishes had safe and friendly stir-fried chicken, shredded beef, steamed fish, garlic eggplant, sautéed beans, noodle soups, fried rice. And there were items indicating a real deal: stir-fried kidneys, aorta, and tripe, griddle cooked intestines, appetizing frog, chopped chili fish head, spicy chicken feet, pig ears in chili oil. Prices — beyond reasonable. Not aware of their dry pot sizes, we started with a pork belly in the garlicky-gingery chili oil and a thousand-year egg. Ten out of ten.The size of dry pots wheeled out on a cart made us laugh. We were set for a few meals at home in the upcoming week. Sorry, not sorry. The pots were cooked to perfection. The most remarkable was the blooming flavor of Sichuan peppercorns. Numbing, tingly, sending customary electric currents through the mouth, they were especially citrusy and piney with a clear message of fruit as opposed to pepper.Cold milk bubble tea with jellied caramel — on the house — was a nice ending to the experience. And the service. Invisible and silent it was ever present guessing requests on an eye contact from a distance, with a quiet smile. Like in a movie.Bottom line. If you like Chinese food, Sichuan in particular, hot pots to be precise — stop what you’re doing and head to Edison, NJ.

Fantastic food. Way too spicy for me but it was still quite delicious! The fried rice cakes with honey were such a nice treat. Definitely recommend those. The Signature Pepper Pot with Sliced Fish was probably my favorite dish. I would probably order it with a little less spice next time though. Dry sautéed string beans and the Sliced Beef and Tripe with chili sauce were pretty good too. The Shredded Beef with Long hot chili peppers was ok. Beef was absolutely delicious but there was just so much pepper! Would love to try the hot pot next time. Now for my standard COVID comments as of May 2022. All employees are wearing masks and the seating is nice and distanced. Felt completely comfortable eating indoors.

Had takeout. Flavor is great but the quanity of food for what you pay for is small. Not worth it in that aspect. Spicy pot added cabbage. They dont even use veggies to add volume to dishes to make them seem fuller. Probably only one leaf of cabbage in the whole thing cut up.

Roomier and tasts better than the one in Flushing NY.

I've been missing my grandma's cooking ever since I moved away from home. I went here for the first time today with some friends and it was the most authentic flavorful experience I have ever had. I don't know why more people don't know about this place. The tea was amazing and the servers were so nice. They give you a free little desert at the end that was sort of like milk tea in a small soup bowl. The menu might be intimidating for non-chinese people but you can just mark things on the menu with a pen and they will bring it out! Rule of thumb is order 1 less entree than you have people. If you dont know what to order, the grilled short rib entree is definitely worth a try!

So glad I found this place. Food was great and affordable. Staff were friendly.OrderedSpicy chicken appetizerSnow peas leaves vegetable dishBeef with long hot peppers dishSpicy hot pot assorted dishOn top of this, the dessert is amazing! Mini milk tea / soup!I will definitely come back.

Incredible baked fish and Chinese dishes. Food might be a bit spicy for people who do not eat food so always keep that in mind.
