When a dishonest approach is discovered, it should be called out. Last night, three couples that included me and my wife met for dinner. The food ranged from OK to good. The woman enjoyed their meals, The men felt theirs were ok. The real story is behind their billing process. The uploaded copy of the receipt shows a total of $272.73. This includes a $7.44 charge for non-cash payment. WE PAID CASH! After manually correcting the bill, it was paid. This is a systemic process and the assumption of a credit card transaction adding a 2.99% sur-charge to each bill is probably occurring, amounting to thousands of dollars. The situation gets even worse. I searched the interior of the restaurant, their doors, their menus and their website. I could find no posting or notice that a credit card sur-charge would be added. This is a violation of New Jersey Statute #N.J.S.A.56:8-25 and will be reported. I would return if asked by another party, but not by choice.
We just booked this place for a repass and I've never met somebody more caring and generous than Eddie. It's a family run place and he made us feel like part of his family. We've ordered from here before, the food is amazing, the place is clean, the staff is so great and attentive. I highly recommend this place for lunch and/or family dinner!! Awesome place overall, you will not be disappointed.. Def give them your business!!
Villa Gennaro was able to accommodate a party of 10.....ten people with only about 8 mins notice on a Saturday night at 8:15 pm....Amazing....!! Once we arrived everything was set, service was incredible and everyone in my party had great things to say about the food, from the apps to dessert....very happy and would return anytime I'm in the area, very grateful for a wonderful experience....!!!
Ordered take out. Definitely frozen food (you can see their microwave) No flavor. Sauce is watery and bad. Asked for customization but they couldn’t meet those simple requests because everything is pre made and frozen. A lame excuse for Italian American or food in general. Needs restaurant impossible. Don’t be fooled by the nice outdoor vibe.
Festive setting, a little noisy, wait staff efficient, lasagna sauce was disappointing but Mussel appetizer was generous and delicious made it my meal.. There is good parking, easy access to the building.
Can't say enough about this byob Italian restaurant. The food is every bit amazing, their prices are very reasonable and their staff is stellar. We go there every couple of weeks and never get tired of it.
The service is prompt and friendly. The menu is large but not overwhelming. All your favorite Italian dishes are available and there are a few interesting items that you don't see too often. The portions are generous but not gut busting. The food was well prepared and tasted fresh, but for our palates was on the bland side. If you don't like spicy food, you will love it.
Really good itialian food and family atmosphere. Just make sure to BYOB if you're drinking.
Awesome restaurant. Family owned and worked. Food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. On top of that it's a BYOB. I would go back to this restaurant in 1 minute. Very nice Ambience also. We were a little loud, we were a party of six. We had no problems. Enjoy!!
I usually order takeout . This time I decided to go to the restaurant and sit down to eat. The service since I entered was very terrible. It took 25 minutes to ask us what we wanted to eat no even to drink. We were the only ones in this restaurant. The food was horrible , the pasta was not well made and usually when you pick up the food they even give you salad they don’t at the restaurant. The last time I come back here. So disappointed.
