great food/beverages, service, and entertainment. Appealing to the eye, palette, and ear...??
Trendy, casual and relaxing place to have a coffee and bagel. Always very pleasant staff. We love it there!
A great facility run by even better people
I have really enjoyed The Coffee House and have been going once in a while for a bit now. They make great food, and I particularly like their Baja Grilled Cheese.Recently, I had an unideal experience though that rubbed me the wrong way. So many of these comments highlight that this is a place where people do work and study during the day with their coffee. And previously this was the experience I had. I was planning to meet friends for lunch and so decided to grab a coffee and pastry in the morning to get some work done first. However, just before by friends arrived, one staff member told me that I had been there too long and that I needed to leave. Instead to telling her I was meeting my friends and about to order more food, everyone there looked at me and so I just left embarrassed. Instead, we went to lunch at Panera.Again, great place. But if you are going to advertise as a coffee shop where people can do work, that has to apply to everybody, and that was not the experience I had the last time I came. Not sure if it was because I was sitting alone and other people were not, but the same rules should apply to everyone.
I think I selected The Coffee House for breakfast from their Google rating and their proximity to our hotel but I couldn't be happier to have discovered this gem. Snuggled right downtown, it's bright and cheery. We both chose the top-of-the-menu Avocado Toast. The multigrain bread was divine! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We're only in town one more day, bit I think we'll be back for breakfast again tomorrow! I'd give The Coffee House 10 stars if I could! ?
Gave this place a couple of tries after having gone here when it 1st opened and after it changed owners once (or twice?). (Looks like my previous review was removed.)Anyway, they started out great when they 1st opened under the original owner when it looked like a comfy, cozy coffee house with local bands playing in the corner on weekends. There isn't any of that happening now from what I can tell - it's too crammed with tables packed and not a lot of walking space. I can never get a seat regardless of the time of day I go here, but I don't think I would want to now. Ambiance feels chaotic rather than relaxing. They have the usual items found in a coffee shop. My capuccino is slightly smaller than other coffee shops but good. Avocado toast is decent, although the toast was already cold when handed to me. The chicken sandwich was not bad. It's not a terrible coffee shop if you just want to grab your items and go.
Italian roast coffe beans, cozy environment prices $ I had the Macchiato is was so good I had to get a second cup?
The staff is friendly and nice outside seating area. This what makes additional star for the environment. As for the food - I wish we wouldn’t try it.Regular latte had a sour taste to it.Decaf late also had that type of a taste.Marker used for writing on lid has a very strong acid/alcohol smell. My son turned hot chocolate.Cheese danish - completely dry and definitely not fresh.Almond croissant was ok.
I was invited for a recital but few days before the event i got involved in a car accident that left me with painAnyway, my son drove me there to perform. I couldn't stay too long because of pain but I was received with wholeheartedly. Welcoming. I love this place. If I get invited when I am doing better, I will go again
Great local place for coffee, light food, baked goods & fun
